Very bright
At 500W it was likely too much for my lamp which got very hot. Was quite bright the short time i had it on before i smelled something (burning).Should have verified my maximum wattage and lucky there was no fire. Tried to return but probably wasn't worth their cost to process as it was a "returnless refund".If you buy this, check your lamp can handle the wattage.

Burned out after 5-6 weeks of use.
After about 5-6 weeks of use it completely burned out. And of course it is no longer eligible for return. I would not purchase another one of these bulbs again.
