finally glad I bought this microwave
I have a very tiny kitchen and wanted an appliance that would perform several functions. this microwave does that for me acting as an air fryer, a convection oven & broiler so I do not need those appliances also taking up space. It has combination mode where you can use the microwave for cooking at the same time you use one of the other functions for a better finish than you get just from the microwave . I need to spend more time perfecting my use of the Combi mode . I have not quite mastered satisfactory toast in it for me... So I still do have a toaster on my counter.you should know before you buy this microwave that there is a learning curve as the controls are different than any other microwave I have used in decades... both countertop and over the range. I have gotten used to it now and love it... but I do keep the simple instructions in file pocket right on the end of my microwave cart. I love the defrost cycle. It's the first one I've had that defrosts meat and leaves it cold without partially cooking it... which has always been nasty to me. I also love that it is so very quiet when it's running that I occasionally have to glance at the face of it to make sure it is operating and I see the timer countdown. you can set it to show you the time of day or if you don't need that function you can turn it off which I also like. All in all if you don't mind learning new gadgets I would recommend this. If you just want a microwave that has function like every other one you've used this one might frustrate you a little bit in the beginning. I know I just learned the basics for the first few months and then I had the time, curiosity & need to learn more. I really would like to figure out how to get satisfactory toast out of it! I am glad I bought this!

Best thing I bought in a while
The media could not be loaded. So all my house is electric and everything that I use is electric and I will say I should’ve bought this thing along time ago. I’ve been using it for a while. It’s really not that complicated to use. There is a cheat sheet on top of the microwave on a sticker. It’s got small writing, but you can use that to dial in the type of food that you’re using the air fryer works perfect. The temperature is set at lower setting, but I think that’s to preserve the microwave to make it last longer. Also, it does not heat up like some of the other people are saying and it does say to clean the microwave after each use, which I can understand why to keep it running for a long time to come. It’s super quiet, perfect size I can fit large things in it, but it still compact you can turn it to where it doesn’t make any sound. It’s just an amazing thing to use. My fifth grader’s can use it and I don’t have to be hovering over them to make sure that they are being safe

For those who like air fryers and defrosting
I purchased this microwave in late November 2022, and am maintaining my original, 3-star review below. This update is from April of 2023. I do not recommend this microwave at all. I have lower usage than average, since I am alone, and air fryer and convection functions I used up till last week now no longer work. For example, I had used the preset air fryer setting for chicken legs, and they were crisp and well-cooked in the past, yet trying the exact same function this week left me with chicken that was raw inside. I successfully cooked meats with convection, much as timing was 'hit or miss,' and the same meat I managed to cook a week ago came out raw inside. My reporting the problem to the vendor led to my being told to be sure food was defrosted and that I used proper cooking times. My last microwave was working well after 17 years - this one failed in a matter of months!I wish I could have replaced the microwave, with grill and roast functions, that I already had, but it was 17 years old, and I feared it might 'die,' so I got this model with a special Cyber deal. I just ruined a steak in it!With my other microwave, I could choose 'grill' or 'roast,' press a number for the type of meat, put in the weight, choose 'rare,' and have the cooking time automatically calculated. This is totally hit and miss. Instructions, and the cookbook, do not list times for broiling or cooking, and the presets are only for air frying and defrosting. Even the air frying presets listed are very limited. I attempted to prepare meat using an air fryer recipe, and it did not work. (I gather that one use 'convection,' enter a temperature and time, and hope for the best.) The 'combi' mode was supposed to give me tender meat, but there is no indication of cooking time for whatever type of meal one is preparing. Pressing 'broil' leads to presets - but the instructions do not say what these presets mean. All times have to be entered manually. The only function I could have used, entering the weight, was defrost - not cooking!I've been using Toshiba products since the 1970s, and thought of them as quality. The inadequate instructions, need to enter cooking times manually (without a clue as to how long it takes), presets that only seem to be for defrosting, and only automatic 'microwave' choices (such as beverage or potato), makes me wonder just how I'm going to prepare meat dishes - and the description on the Amazon page had given me the impression that the 'combi' cooking and 'inverter' would make the meats better than ever.I nearly gave it a '2' rating, but allowed three stars because, with the Prime Deal discount, one could not beat the price.

Great, if you only have space for one
Each part that I have used seems to work just fine. My only issue with it is the space lost for the air fryer because of the rotating plate, you can only use 12 inches(?) (not sure of the actual size) instead of the whole size of the inside.Next time I will buy two separate appliances. If you only have space/money for one appliance this is a GREAT product. If you have both space and money for two separate appliances I would go that route. I would have given 4.5 stars if I could have.

Key pad can be frustrating
It took a while to understand the instructions but once I got it working the oven does a good job. The key pad is hard to read and can be frustrating. The food cooks thoroughly and there are no cold spots when microwaving.

Great combination microwave
I really love this microwave. First it has the toots and whistles in one compact unit. It is so quiet! I’ve used the air fryer and convection. Items came out cooked and juicy. Microwave is efficient. So quick, I wonder if the other one, an LG, that died short of two years, ever worked correctly. It has thorough instructions, and pretty easy to figure out. Good purchase.
