Box was crushed and ripped but the light appeared to be in good condition.I only had the light for a few hours but so far the light is working great. I haven’t had the opportunity to test out the timer functions but they appear simple to navigate through. This is placed a top of a 48 gallon bow front with Platy fish in it. All pictures are at the lowest brightness level. I will update review if anything changes.

I’ve upgraded all of my tanks to having these. Easy to set up and lights the tank beautifully. My plants are thriving and I’m seeing fewer spots. The only thing that I think would be an improvement is if the little arms would click into place rather than always being so easy to slide in and out or a clip to hole them still, but I haven’t had any fall in. Awesome light for a great price! I haven’t noticed any flickering and all of the sizes have been accurate for my tank measurements.

It can be programmed to change colors, dim or brighten in a specific manner and then off at night. Great function for the price. Would definitely buy again if needed.

Bought this light after a lot of research. Was confident due to the positive reviews. I loved the cycle feature with all the simulated day/night effects. It fit perfect on my tank etc. However, a year later the lights work perfectly but the controller/timer has a mind of it own. Regardless of what buttons I push it does whatever it likes. On in the middle of the night, it’s purple some days green the next. None of the timing features work nor does dimming. The simulated day/night is not working at all. It’s never been touched, wet, dropped etc. worked fine for most of the year. I didn’t expect this light to only work for a year, now I need to buy another light in a different brand.

Plenty bright for our 29 gallon aquarium. We use the timed sequence lighting with rather nice effect. The brightness levels do smooth gradual transitions. I think the internal clock is a little off as it is slowly advancing over time (weeks) eventually requiring resets. If there is a power failure it will need to be reset. To reset timing, power off then on at the time you want one of the transitions to occur then quickly set that transition. That should set the lightings start. We have found that the various lighting/color shift have differing run length times so planning when to do a specific start time takes a little practice.

there are a few things that I'd change. Everything works great and as it should. However, I think it could be better. It mostly centers around the 24/7 mode. I knew I'd see sunrise, daytime, sunset, and moonlight - but I wasn't expecting moonlight to be that blue light. It's actually quite bright to me, and although there's a dimmer/brighter buttons on here, it doesn't work with the 24/7 option. That's a bummer to me. In fact, after "moonlight" I'd love to see a very soft "white light" until "sunrise" - because that's what moonlight is. Soft white light. It's not a bright blue light. I know I'm splitting hairs now, but if that dimmer button worked while using the 24/7 - we'd be in serious business with a 5-star review. Anyway, decent product for the price.

Not so good- the light died after only the second day… it stopped transitioning on 24 hour mode and just went black at 6pm instead of turning blue. Also, the light lacked customization on 24/7 mode, which I was primarily interested in. The transitions were weird, and didn’t seem to blend naturally. The morning glow was actually yellow vs orange. Night was straight dark blue without any accent colors to pop the colors on the fish. Not sure how this got 4.6 stars but promptly getting returned!
