Very happy with this kit. Good explanation of the seeds, germination, planting and the whole process. Nevertheless, I would like to have more information on what to do next.. for example a couple of tips for books to buy, blogs, or even YouTube videos for how to take care of your seedlings and how to give the best care.

I originally bought this product as a gift for a friend. I was so thrilled with the apparent quality of the Starter Kit that I decided to purchase a second one for myself. The kit contains everything you require to get started. The instruction booklet inside was most informative with clear instructions. The seeds provided were of a good quality (not a single one floated after a 24hr soak!). I have just finished sowing the seeds in the pots & compost provided and am now looking forward to seedlings appearing in the next few weeks.

I sowed the bonsai seeds on 27th May and withing 10 days I had seedlings emerging! I was expecting to wait many weeks! The kit is easy to use and nicely put together. Long term outcome awaited, of course :)

The seeds came with pots and soil. Everything you need to get started. 1 or 2 of the seeds did not germinate, but this was as expected, but there were plenty of seeds included in the pack to ensure that this isn't a problem. They are growing well.

Bought as Xmas gifts for teenagers. It was something different. One was even moved to say it was the best present he received. I liked the contents and have had feedback that some seeds have started germinating. Been sent pictures of Pinus Aristata seeds germinated. This sounds fun for the young persons and quite exciting for me to hear of their progress. I suppose we forget that urban dwelling without gardens can mean that a lot of children may not have the experience of growing things. As such I highly recommend this as a good fun gift. If I learn of any impressive growths I will return to update this.

This is fantastic! I was sceptical at first as I am a complete novice so I was worried this wouldn’t work. The process was easy and simple to follow and despite the best efforts by the cat all plants sprouted and one least taking root! We have every single plant type take and some of those we have three plants from. This was the best thing I ever brought restaurant in courage and a novice or enthusiastic it was a go or a least taken root! We have a single plant from every type and some of those we have done three plants. This was the best thing I ever brought and would encourage any novice or enthusiast to give this ago!!

Nice & high quality packaging but all plants died soon after developing few leafs. First all pots developed mould so I had to change the pots and then all the seedlings died within a month after repotting. Pine was the longest to survive and developed few leafs before dying. Flame tree has never grown from the seeds at all.All the plants were positioned next to the window without the direct light in the room temp 20C.

With a product like this (that you plant and grow), a lot of the value you receive comes from the time and effort that you put into it in the first place. The instructions provided give a comprehensive introduction to bonsai for a novice, and shows how to sow the seeds properly and easily. I am only one month into growing my bonsai, but the kit appears to have done its job properly and I cannot fault it. The customer service department sent me a friendly email saying that if I needed help or advice I only had to give them a message. The picture I have provided is the Jacaranda seeds, exactly one month after sowing. The instructions said it would take 3-5 weeks for germination to occur but mine happened after about 2 weeks. :) If I had to offer some criticism it would only be that the information on Bonsai pruning is a bit limited. Very happy with this product.
