A must read
I really enjoyed reading this volume. It has some great information and some great fights. I understand more and more how this conflict started and it's direction. I feel like Rimuru was reincarnate to stop the game between Guy and Ludora. Great extra chapter about Guy.

Conclusion of the Empire Ark
For wrap up book it was fine, we get a look at a missing battle from the previous book and introduced to what the next major conflict is going to be.Then it goes through a frankly unnecessary scaling system that they're now going to use for all of the characters. I think there was other ways the author could have gone about this, such as having built a better scaling power ranking system earlier on. Personally though, I think the author should have just stopped using Clayman as a benchmark and just compared characters to each other. An arbitrary number especially one that they keep emphasizing does not actually reflect all of the battle strength isn't necessary. We know how Tempest forces rank over each other in general even without any of them fighting each other. Saying that they have a Diablo level strength versus a Gobta level strength gives the reader a pretty good idea of the power of the character without having to assign them a number. However I did get a kick out of the fact that Diablo gave himself the number 6,666,666. That is so in character.I feel like a better use of this book would have been covering the fallout in the world as new spreads of the empire's defeat and new emperor being crowned along with how the town is faring especially with the large amount of adventurers and merchants that are now part of tempest that don't necessarily worship Rimuru like his citizens do.

Amazing book
It’s Reincarnated as a Slime, its peak fiction like always. The cover art for this one is awesome too.

Good but hate the wait
This book was great and wrapped up the arc. It ended on a cliffhanger though and we have to wait until volume 18 to find out more. Volume 17 is supposed to be a series of short stories. This is annoying.

Clean up and some useful references.
A tidy clean up to the war arc and also provides finally some power scaling. Can't wait for the next arc.

SIde title: That Time Rimuru's People Got Spanked By Randos After Getting Awesomely Powerful
This review acknowledges the author's notes at the end about this being a tie-up of the final battle elements of the Eastern Empire war arc. It also acknowledges that there are parts of this that are probably going to be integral to the final Tenma arc. However, I will point out a few facts: Readers do not want an entire novel devoted solely to wrapping up loose ends and being essentially a massive info dump. Each one should be important in itself. These parts should have been included in the previous book or been made into a three-parter or something so you know you're not getting a full story. This is the continuation of the battle of Rimuru/Tempest against the Empire. Do not go in expecting 2 things; 1) the appearance of Rimuru any time soon, or 2) the funny, quirky, and comedic stories of yester arcs. It's now just fight after fight after fight. Watch all your favorite hero characters looking and attaining supposedly great and wondrous power get spanked by total randos who turn out to not be the weaklings they appear but suddenly who have godly might. It is extremely frustrating to know that all the waiting for this book to come out, and we are served up the stories of side characters for almost the first half of the book! Very little RImuru. These books have been moving away from the interesting, somewhat dangerous, but usually comedic adventures of RImuru the slime, and is turning into battle after battle after battle after battle after battle... guess what, more battle... I just want my characters who EARNED their power through blood, sweat, and tears to REMAIN POWERFUL, not get turned into chumps in the very next LN.Can we PLEASE just get back to what made this series GREAT?!? Pretty please?!?
