got it for a new iPad air m2 and it works fine reading thumb drives created on various machines including a 2019 10.2” iPad, an iPhone7, an iPhoneSE and a couple of raspberry pi computers.

I purchased this so I could use my external hard drive and USBs on my iPad. It works great. Only thing that sucks is if you save files from your iPad using this you won’t be able to open the files on a PC, only another apple product. That is not due to this product though.

Works great with my ipad mini six
Is the aspect ratio of the IPad mini 6 is closer to a 16:9 TV than the old 4:3 iPads. This adapter works great. I recommend it.

It works, unlike others
I have a 2018 MacBook with a Thunderbolt port. I tried to connect other transmitters with many other products and got sound, but not video. I am delighted to have found this for a reasonable price point. Now I can see as well as hear videos/programs on my TV.
