Well made great Price
I needed a belt sheath for an old knife, the price was right, the fit was perfect. Seems well made, sturdy and good leather. It's a bit stiff but not bad should soften with age n perhaps an oil buff. Surprised to see a nice decorative design as added bonus. This was Avery good deal

Great Sheath!
Love this sheath! I got two because a couple of sheathes were way to big for some knives of mine and one knife was totally missing a sheath. For the price I really didn't expect something so nice. The leather lends itself to being easily wetformed for the knife its going to sheath. The weave pattern is also fairly deep and looks good, far better than the pictures indicate. Of my knives I've been able to fit a Condor Kephart Knife, a Condor Final Frontier, and an old 1950's - 1960's Schrade Uncle Henry Golden Spike Knife in the sheath and snap the retention strap closed. The only con, was that the leather was a bit dried out when they arrived so worked a number of coats of leather conditioner into the leather until it wouldn't take in any more. It made the leather supple and should preserve it for years to come. I strongly recommend this sheath to anybody looking for a nice replacement sheath that can fit a number of knives. Even if the retention strap is a little too small, its leather and can be stretched, so don't let that be a deterrent.

Good, Inexpensive Generic Knife Sheath
This is a pretty good sheath. The leather is thick and stiff. The riveting is kind of rough and the backside of the rivets are splayed open rather than punched into a collar. The stitching is good, straight and uniform with a heavy cord. I'm not a big fan of the pattern stamped on the sheath. Personally I would have preferred it plain but that's just me. Lengthwise it fits my 1950's 5" blade Western hunting knife pretty well but it is a bit wide for the 3/4" wide blade. This is no fault of the sheath, just wish I could find one a little more narrow. The strap that secures the blade's handle is not riveted and it slides around. It can be easily removed if you prefer but I think most would want it securing the knife. In general the sheath is a good value. There are design compromises to be sure but for it's price it appears to be very serviceable.

Excellent product!
This was my first time ordering a holder for a knife. This item replaced a worn one for my fiance. I had no idea how long the blade was so I used a 3x5 index card and measured the blade only. I really must say I am pleased and impressed with this item. It is very tough and durable. I was skeptical about the top part of it that extends past the snap part but it is very stiff. The top part of it loops so you can hook it to things (like your belt). You will not be disappointed with this purchase. The handle on the knife almost didn't fit the snap part because it is so thick but we snapped it and will let it stay that way for a few days till it gives some. Excellent, excellent product. Just be sure to measure your blade only (and not the handle) when trying to determine which length to buy because I did see a 4 and 6 inch holder also.

Nicely made but will not fit a straighy blade that's 1 3/8" wide.
The enclosed pics showed a Moraniv Robust and an Ontario Robeson Heirloom for comparison. Robeson Heirloom measured 4 1/8 long and 1 3/8 wide and it is too wide for the sheath already. This sheath was intended for a 4 3/4" x 1 3/8" knife and it refused to fit properly. It is very unfortunate that I can not use this sheath because it seemed well made and sturdy. More importantly, there's a small opening at the tip of the sheath so your knife won't be soaked in water if you were exposed to really bad weather. If the opening is twice as big for faster drainage, then I'd say the sheath is nearly perfect for the price.

Inexpensive sheath decent
Ok for sub 10 dollar sheath I'm not complaining. The materials are inexpensive but seems to be well put together with proper care should hold up. Now I going to return simply because the dimensions are off and my knife does not fit. It is listed for 5 " it came just a little longer thats fine. The width is listed at 2.2 it came in just under 2 inches in width so my 2 inch knife does not fit. The belt loop seems ok probably would slide around easily though. But since I can't store the knife any further testing can't be done. All this said as long as your knife is under 2 inches in width and you just need a inexpensive sheath for occasional use this will likely work for you. Again sub 10 dollar when I purchased leather sheath pretty good deal. Just be sure to read real reviews.

Nice quality especially for the price!
Got this for a home made knife and couldn't be happier. I really like the quality and the belt loop is tough enough I don't ever expect to have to replace this. Would 100% buy again.

Great Replacement for Vintage 5" Knife
Great replacement sheath for a vintage knife with a 5" blade. Leather is a good thickness. One rivet wasn't properly installed, and there's no welt under the stitching, but it's nevertheless a great sheath for the price.
