Thought provoking
The representation of Yantras in the book adds life to the book itselfIn the world of plagiarism it's very difficult to find genuine content. I can place my bets on the fact that Mehul Vora has done justice to the topic. The representation of Yantras , and details about the worship shows how much indepth research has been done on the topics. It wont be wrong to state that this is one of the very few books that represents Shakta Culture in the most prominent ways.Proper ways and description of how each sadhana has to be performed from the initial steps to the most advanced stages are mentioned.Beautiful descriptions of Ma Tara and Ma KaliI have been in North India for more than 6-7 years for my research and I have seen a lot of confusion amongst people between the two forms Ma Tara and Ma Kali . The description of colour complexions like Ma Kali being bluish black Goddess and Ma Tara being the sapphire blue goddess will not only help in distinction of the two Goddesses but will also help to have a clear picture in the head while sadhaks are doing the Sadhana . This book By Mehul Ji is a perfect fit for all kinds of people - the new enthusiasts in the process of sadhana and also the ones who wants to advance their stages and dive deeper into the process of sadhana as well. Kali and Tara are just the examples ,all of the Dasha Mahavidyas are represented wonderfully in the book.Representation of the Vamacara in the most educative mannerThere are several thoughts that keeps on lingering in the minds of people when they hear the word Vamacara. Its wonderful how Mehul Ji has explained the fact that the people who practise Vamacara (generally the samsan bashis) they don't differentiate between vegetarian and non vegetarian meals . The use of Pancha Makaras has also been described in the most informative and educative manner rather than criminalising or sensationalising it.The Vaishnava Sect and the Shaiva sects have played an important role in Sanatan Dharma and the contribution of the Shakta sects are nowhere less . There representation has varied over the ages and finally I am glad to see that someone has done proper representationMy Individual experiences with the bookHailing from West Bengal I have been a devotee of Bhuvaneshwari Ma (which is a form of Kali) that you can find in Dakshineshwar temple. Shakti peeths play a massive role in the Sanatan culture and even I was not aware of all the Shakti peeths . This book has given me so much knowledge and as also emphasized on where the shakti peeths are located. From information , to procedure and do’s and dont’s everything is mentioned in a book that would lead you from a path of a judgmental person to a spiritual one. Thus “The Secret Goddesses of Tantra” is definitely a book that has ability to transform you. What should the readers keep in mind while reading the book ?One thing is for sure , this book is not one of the fast reads , it would take your time so that the knowledge seeps in. But if read correctly it has the potential to even take you to a knowledge where you can decipher which one of the Dasha Mahavidyas sadhana can actually be beneficial and add up something in your life. One has to read the features and take references from the images that are beautifully represented in the book and understand the nature of the devis . The book also mentions the meaning of siddhi and the yantras that are used to attain the siddhis. In Sanatan dharma, there are two ultimatums in the life of a sadhak , bhagwat prapti or Devata sidhdhi, this book provides more information on the later.Sanskrit Shlokas and meaningA lot of time the general youth finds it difficult to decode and understand Sanskrit shlokas, so although the texts carries a lot of meanings and symbolism ,the meaning gets lost in the way. Thus one of the best features of the book is it has done justice to all the sanskrit shlokas as it has been explained to its truest form .Final verdict regarding the bookComing to the final verdict I would rate it 9/10. It talks about why the Dasha Mahavidyas are the primordial sources of energy and explains Tantra in the truest form. It talks about several forms of each Goddess and also addresses the so called taboo topics like the Panchamakaras. The topic of the Guru is also very well explained with all its importance. According to me it is an excellent book, I just wished it had few more points on how should one search for Guru and few more details about Shakt Parampara as they lack representation in all most all texts. But apart from these two suggestions it is a wonderful and a must read for everyone who want to set their foot on the spiritual path.

Great book!
Mehul Vora's book "Secret Goddesses of Tantra" takes readers on a deep examination of the Dasha Mahavidyas, a collection of Goddesses fundamental to Tantra's esoteric teachings. Mehul gives an in-depth exploration of these primordial energies and their role in constructing the cosmos, dispelling prevalent preconceptions about Tantra as dark magic or a mystical pursuit. Each chapter is dedicated to a different Goddess, diving into her appearance, origin tales, symbolism, multiple forms, interactions with other deities, mantras, yantras, sadhana techniques, temples, and fascinating similarities with other civilizations. Mehul's painstaking method allows readers to comprehend the complexities of each Goddess individually, making Tantra's intricate realm accessible to both novices and seasoned searchers. Mehul Vora, a well-known author, lecturer, astrologer, and supporter of old Indian culture, uses his wide knowledge and experiences to demystify Tantra. The author challenges traditional conceptions by portraying Tantra as a complete "way of life" rather than an arcane art of love or forbidden sorcery. Mehul reveals the secret knowledge buried in this ancient practise by emphasising Tantra as a path that extends the body to its limits, preparing individuals for the journey of freedom. The book also acts as a convincing counterargument to Tantra's misconceptions and misunderstandings. Mehul offers a reasoned view on the severe tools used in Tantra, presenting them as devices used to govern the senses and intellect rather than engaging in forbidden or dreadful practises. Mehul Vora's writing style is both entertaining and informative. He constructs a story that mixes intellectual knowledge with a love of the topic. Throughout the book, the author's dedication to demystify old wisdom for a wider audience is clear, making it an important resource for those seeking a better understanding of Tantra and its holy Goddesses. "Secret Goddesses of Tantra" stands out not just as a thorough reference to the Dasha Mahavidyas, but also as a link between ancient teachings and modern seekers. Mehul Vora's knowledge, along with his passion to conserving and sharing spiritual treasures, makes this book an intriguing and instructive read for anybody interested in Tantra and the divine feminine.
