This really is a quality product. I know that is a strange thing to say of something as simple as a length of wire, but I needed to re-wire and antique desk lamp and this product gave me a perfect finish. I have no doubt I will be using this again. A very good price too I may add.

I bought this to refurbish a vintage battery charger dating to the 1950s. The original mains lead was single-insulated figure eight two core and the plug was the type that fits into a bayonet lampholder! OK there was an earth terminal for connecting to a water tap but would anyone ever use it?Three core double-insulated mains lead was in my opinion a must-have but I wanted the vintage look. It is still possible to buy cloth-covered flex which is double insulated but the cost is eye-watering, The best alternative was the gold coloured flex which is absolutely superb and to my amazement is Made In England. The cost is also very reasonable.
