Unassuming and easy to use
Easy to install, although cable management may take a little time. Looks totally OEM which is impressive. Footage can be viewed easily from the app, or read directly from the SD card if removed. I’d definitely recommend as a nearly-native dashcam for the EV6.

OEM look is perfect. Video quality is decent
I went with this to avoid all those dangling wires and cumbersome hard wiring with other models. OEM look is perfect for the EV6 I got this both for the GT-Line and GT trim. fits perfectly and installation was a breeze. As for camera quality, that is where they lost a star. It is pretty decent with 4k resolution but really not a lot of details when you start zooming in. Audio capture is also decent and just enough for you to read out the tags if you ever need to back up what the camera is recording. Overall it's a must-have for the EV6.

Love the integrated look of this cam
I've had this camera for a few days in my 2022 Kia EV6 Wind AWD and I'm really liking it so far. The biggest benefit is that it replaces the cover of car's windshield sensor behind the rearview mirror and taps directly into the auto dimming mirror's power so that you don't see any wires and don't even notice the camera. No suction cups or anything that will move around or get in the way. They did a great job of matching the plastic cover. It was fairly easy to install. They give you a little pry tool to pop off the old cover, you use a wire harness to plug in the new cover and then the only kind of difficult part is putting the new cover on so it snaps in properly. Overall, it's a 10 min job.I don't have any other dashcams to compare the quality to, but the app does give you a few resolution options and lets you choose the size of each file that is stored. There is a button on the device to capture a photo if you need a snapshot and it can record sound if you need it to record a spoken license plate number or something else.Because it uses the power source that goes to the auto dimming mirror, it won't function when the car is off. For me, it's not too big of a deal since my car spends 95% of its time in my garage. If you park on the street or in a public garage, this may be something to consider. It comes with a 64 gig micro sd card and should replace old video segments once it fills the storage up, but I haven't collected enough video yet to test it.There are three lights on the display but they are very dim and you have to look at it at just the right angle to see them. This may be by design because I certainly wouldn't want to see those lights all the time when driving.I'm really liking the clean look and I think this makes a great intro to dashcams if you are a new user.

Not 'real' 4k, solder joint was broken on the harness
I like the way this looks, and the install is relatively simple (especially if you intend to use the rear camera as an interior camera instead of running a long wire back).Unfortunately, this is advertised as "4k" but in reality the sensor maximum resolution is roughly equivalent to "2k" resolution. It looks fine, but it's not 4k. Video quality is a bit worse than my many years old VIOFO A119C, but it's not terrible. Rear cam does look like true 1080p at least.Bigger issue - in the included wiring harness for the mirror power, the solder joint was broken where it connects to the in-line fuse on the red wire. I did not discover this until installing everything and it wouldn't turn on, so I had to take it all apart. Thankfully I am handy enough with a soldering iron to fix this. At this price point though, there should be no need to mislead about "4k" and there definitely should not be poor solder joints like I encountered.Would have also been nice to have a CPL filter over the lens to avoid dashboard reflections, but that is not that big of a deal compared to the other issues mentioned.Manufacturer did reach out to me and provided good customer service regarding my concerns, so I raised my review 1 star.

I'm terrible with installing equipment. So I was nervous to instal it. But the instructions were easy to follow. Now I have a great camera and it records all my drives and it is completely hidden. Not sure why the kia didn't include a stock camera but no I have one.

Great Concept/Package - Terrible Hardware
This worked for maybe the first year or two...and now it's trash and doesn't record regularly (and the date is wrong).First, what they won't tell you upfront (it's buried in the manual), you need to reformat the card every month or two. Second, the cards - even really nice cards - will fail about every two years...so there are ongoing consumable costs. Third, customer support is terrible - my camera failed and so did my wife's. Her's did not capture an accident because of the failure and there's no error message or reporting - so we had no idea the camera wasn't functioning until we went back to check the video (which wasn't there). It's taken months of back and forth emails with their Customer Service...they force me to pay an additional $45 to replace my wife's camera (which showed up with a dead power supply) and we are still playing games with firmware updates on my camera (which aren't working). What a waste of time.
