I bought a 40 pound box to build an aquascape. It takes more epoxy than you’d expect. I think I ended up using 8 tubes of the aquarium epoxy stick, and have about 5 pounds of rock left over.Super glue didn’t seem to work well, because the rock is so dry. Maybe if you soaked it first, super glue would work better. Super glue needs moisture to cure. Or maybe if you used quick setting spray?I drew out my plan on paper with the shelves for future coral, followed that plan, and was extremely happy with the results. (Thanks BRStv)I personally like the idea of starting with unalived rock, as it gives me much better control over what is in my tank.I recommend buying a little too much. You can always throw it in a sump or canister filter, or use it to add on later. Or just save it for a tank upgrade, which we both know you’re going to do.Since the super glue didn’t work for me, it did take a few days… but I enjoyed the project. I would build up a piece or two, epoxy in place, stack other rocks to prop it up, wait 20-30 minutes for the epoxy to firm up, repeat. You can only go so high doing this as the epoxy is only “firm” and not fully cured in 30 min. 24 hours later it’s fully cured and ready for a few more layers.

I’m very happy and surprised with the quality of this. The total weight was 43.6 pounds with minimal breakage and I can’t believe how poutine this rock is. Very good deal for Marco rocks and anyone looking for some should not turn this deal down. 107.00 for 40 pounds of this is a steal!

I purchased this primarily to add into an existing established reef tank with live rock as the tank needed a few more pieces. I then put some of the Marco reef rock into a new tank (20G), and still had leftover to keep.

The media could not be loaded. I’m looking forward to see what I’m getting. I’m disappointed to see no reviews as I go by a lot of reviews on whether I purchase or not so I guess I’ll be the first. I’m optimistic so I’ll give it 5 right now
