They grow!
Honestly I didn’t expect much since I’m not sure of the seeds quality, so I threw the seeds to the ground and covered them with soil, next to my chillies plant. There were a few thunderstorm nights, but then they grew!

No germination at all
I have planted the seeds throughout front and back yard, troughout the year. Nothing happened.

Sprouted well in seedling trays, not so much direct sewing where I live (PNW)
The germination rate of these seeds seems pretty good, but they prefer extra care, being started in seedling trays and kept moist until established.

worth a try in the garden
The directions are precise and thorough, including information that light is needed for seeds to germinate. I placed wet potting soil in an empty recycled berry container and sprinkled the seeds across the top. I put a light dusting of soil over the top, closed the lid, and placed the container in a sunny window. Checked to make sure the soil stayed moist and was just starting to wonder about them germinating when I saw the first spots of green this morning. Ten days from sprinkling to green sprout. (you can see the little green dots in last photo)Directions did recommend planting directly in soil but I wanted to control the environment and make sure the seeds had a good shot at germinating. I'll move the sprouts to the garden after they get their first set of true leaves. Looking forward to tasting this variety since I'm already partial to Japanese and Korean varieties.

Seeds did well in poor conditions, after 4 weeks about 80% germination rate but it's a LOT of seeds
This packet comes in a no-nonsense plastic bag with minimal instructions, but you can find more information online. It is a lot of seeds -- 2,000 -- and assuming you are using this in a home garden and not a farm, it's enough to plant more than you need and then to share with other gardeners as well. The photo is from one month after planting and although I did start them on a seedling heat mat with a grow light, it was in a recycled cupcake container and using low-budget potting soil. Then we had a really overcast and cool spring, so the seedlings are a bit stunted over what they would be if you put them in nice soil with proper drainage and had good weather. Even now after 4 weeks, more seeds are sprouting, so the germination rate might be higher than 80%. Even in these not-great conditions, none of the seedlings withered or bolted, which is good news for haphazard gardeners who recycle cupcake containers. The germination rate was good for the conditions they were in, and because it is so many seeds, you will have no problems planting extra and thinning them out later to get the number of plants you want. The flavor is quite robust even from the tiny tiny true leaves on these seedlings. These will be a good addition to salads or mixed dried herbs.

Germinate rate are very low!
I received the seed in mid- June and now there is no plant yet. I have been gardening for years and this is the first time it happens!
