Great Rack- good looking and well built
I looked at several "complete" racks, not just bars across the roof, but something to carry a good load atop my 2020 Wrangler(like camping gear, etc. After quite a bit of research I settled on this rack and am very pleased with the quality of material, ease of assembly and mounting !! it will definitly take at least 2 to install atop the roof of the vehicle. remember to tighten the roof clips that attach to the rain gutter hand tight, so you can adjust and tighten once you have it set in the gutter where you want it. The top adjustment/tightening bolt on the clip needs to be hard tightened before the side tightening bolt it torqued down, assuring the rubber clip cover will not touch the top of the door when closing .I am pleased with the price for the heavy duty quality it is! (it's not light!)

Very well engineered
Perfect fit! Not only looks good but very well engineered. Have a buddy help you heft it on to the roof as it is not only on the heavy side, but got a bit awkward when my 65 year old dad-bod tried to do it himself. For the record the instructions do suggest a 2 person lift.

Works with Bestop Sunrider! Good value for the price
Nice little rack and YES it does work with the Bestop Sunrider on the 4 door JLU. See picture attached, with the rack in this position the Sunrider does not touch it during use.Overall a nice decent quality rack for $300 price is is currently (June 2023). Rack comes disassembled in long box, weighs a little over 70 lbs. Box was beat up pretty good when I got it but no major damage to the rack beyond a few minor scratches. You have to be careful to not scratch it up when putting together, especially if on driveway or garage floor. I'd recommend you lay out a blanket or assemble in the grass or something.Mounting once assembled could be done by one guy if he's young and somewhat strong, but its a lot easier with two people to lift it up onto the roof of the Jeep. Once in place on roof it's fairly easy for one person to line up and tighten down, etc.I'd also recommend you inspect it carefully after assembly and be sure to touch up an scratched areas or it will rust....this is a STEEL rack meaning if you see bare metal it's going to rust. I used a small bottle of matte black rim paint on mine. Today, about a week after installing, I found a small rusted spot where I didn't touch up. Not a big deal, but something to keep eye on.Overall the rack looks great, seems sturdy enough to meet the 150 lb weight limit. I'll be mounting an awning to mine and possibly a shovel on the other side so I can look cool :)

Decent Looking - Fit and Finish Issues
BLUF: It is a decent looking $300 rack that doesnt look like something you would expect on a minivan. But poor fit and finish made it a bit of a challenge (but not insurmountable) to install. After nearly a year of trying to find a decently priced safari rack for my jeep (the prices have been bonkers) - I decided to take a chance on this rack. I like the look on my 2 Door JL Rubicon, however assembly was a pain in the neck. To set the stage, I am in my late 50s, this is my third jeep, and I have worked on older vehicles since the late 70s, with my Dad - who was an antique auto restorer (Packards). With respect to this rack, I encountered several issues. Firstly, one of the welds was bad, (You can see daylight through the weld). The powder coat was chipped off of the front portion of the rack showing bare metal - so I will need to take care of that, so it wont rust. I found a number of spots where the metal wasnt completely de-greased and the powder coat either bubbled up or did not stick at all - particularly on the interior of the mounting brackets. The bends on the rear end cap were about 2-3 mm off, thus requiring me to pry up the metal and hammer home with a rubber mallet. 3 of the machine screws did not have a proper hexagon in the interior - they were rounded off and filled with a heavy coat of paint. The directions are poorly written, and manage to contradict itself with respect to the orientation of the "double-nut" used to attach the mounting bracket. Bottom line - I spent about 2 hours working around issues just trying to get it assembled. The installation on the Jeep itself was pretty straightforward - blot everything together loosely, and use a tape measure to tighten things up. The rubber sleeve on the front drivers side bracket does hang a little low - so there is interference between the weather stripping on the door and the rubber on the mounting bracket - I may trim part of that sleeve to lessen the interference. On the passenger side the sleeve just got folded back when opening - but there isnt the same amount of resistance.

Don’t recommend
Came missing one long screw and another long screw is defective. Manufacturer still has yet to respond to my email (via their website customer service). One of the rubber covers was also defective in size— too big— which causes it to fall off, which then scratched up my car paint. Yeah, I’m stoked about that. Especially since I have to cough up another $70 to touch-up all the damages that this POS rack caused. The biggest issue I have is the clamps that hold the rack in place are poorly measured. It overlaps the door frame, preventing the door from opening. I had to remove the (properly fitting rubber covers) and apply clear vinyl protective tape where the latches meet the car paint. This gave it enough room to allow my doors to open with very minimal friction, if any. But yes, ANOTHER additional cost for this roof rack.Simply the frustration of trying to send this massive parcel back to the silent manufacturer is a headache in itself. I’m still debating if it’s worth returning— my car is already damaged and I’ve spent additional money just to make this product acceptable. In the meantime, I’m still trying to find the right screws/bolts for two empty spots. It performs, but have yet to see how well when attaching bulky and heavy items. but other than that… it’s on my jeep. It is a little noisy, but not enough to be frustrated. This newer design has open areas for the air to flow versus its previous design.
