Works Great! I recommend.
If you’re just starting I recommend counting your change and putting the amount in manually to start. Pennies sometimes come up as dimes, and also if you go to quick like I was because I had a lot of change, it won’t pick it up. It’s very accurate though. It’s pretty big too! Holds a lot! If you’re putting in a few at a time, then do it through the top because you can see the amounts and watch it closely. I was just putting in jars of change, so I wanted to get it done.

Nice for the spare change.
Convenient for spare loose change. Cannot tell the difference between 1 cent and 10 cent coins. Running counter is off because of that, but gives you a ball park idea of amounts in the jar.

Counter
I love it! I will admit sometimes it registers the pennies as dimes but other than that it's great!

I love to be organized and this is it….
With the automatic counter I am encouraged to see the change grow. Prior to buying this my change sat in a jug. This gives me an incentive to save money. I am super happy with the purchase. The one downside, quarters are hard to push in because the spring inside has to move to accommodate the large currency. I would definitely buy again. In Fact when this one is full I’ll buy another to grow another jar….

Soft screw and counter is off.
Firstly the screw holding the plastic battery plate in place was so soft as soon as you used the included screwdriver the metal started to flake off and wouldn't unscrew. I tried for about 10-15 minutes to get the screw out by wrapping a towel around the handle and pushing down hard to dig in but nothing worked. By the end the center of the screw was fully stripped so I had to use a drill to drill out the screw.Secondly the counter will sometimes just be off for no reason. I counted out $3 in change with a handful of different coins and tried it 3 times and 1 time it came to $3 1 time it came to $2.85 and 1 time it came to $3.06 (wasn't using pennies). It's also really hard to push the coins in but I'm assuming that'll loosen up as time goes on so that's not that big of a deal for me but it might be a problem for people with arthritis or small children. So either you can't get to the battery slot to put in batteries to power the counter or you can and the counter doesn't work correctly. Basically paying $10 for a plastic jar.
