Camping must have item
This is not a child's toy and after sharpening both sides of the blade, it will be required for every camping trip. It is great for self defense and if you are ever lost in the wild somewhere, it will keep you fed. It is quite a bit heavier than all my other spears, but the body of the spear should never ever break or bend for that matter as it is 100% metal and stout. I did wrap some good gripping tape around the areas where hands would hold to because i could foresee it being a bit slippery once it is wet. But it is and always will be one of the first things I pack for any camping/hunting trip.

Security
I feel secure in my walks that this baton has levels of threat response available . While not easily obvious the spear can be unsheathed to defend yourself if the danger in eminent

I think there should of been more parts, so it looks complete.
Looks like there are something missing ??

A good product at a reasonable price that needs a bit of development and accessories
The idea is a good one. A portable take down spear/hiking staff. Except that even at it's 42" maximum length, it's too short to serve as a real staff. Even for a relatively short person like me. It seems to be solid and well made, consisting of an 8" double edged spearhead backed by 2.5" of serrated edges. There are some grind imperfections, but it came quite sharp. The knife handle is threaded for outer attachment to one of the other 3 pipe extensions, or for sheathing the knife/spearhead internally within one. With the spear head reversed into the body, the bottom of the handle (now the top grip of the staff) displays a small floating compass. I haven't tested it so I don't know how good it is. All parts are contained inside a nifty zippered case that should fit into a medium sized back pack. There is no sheath for the spear head, a possible safety issue while carrying it over broken or muddy ground with the spear affixed. A cheap rubber or Kydex sheath should be provided. A knife sheath would have to be long so perhaps a gardening tool or similar sheath should be considered for this purpose. An unprotected point or blade should never be carried over broken ground. Especially when the spearhead is mounted on a shaft that is shorter than the person carrying it. The spear component by itself makes a viable short sword and a proper scabbard designed for belt carry should be offered separately as an accessory. Additional pipe sections should be available separately as well, which would make it a bona fide hiking staff adjustable for the user's height. Especially if a section ending in a pointed ferrule were offered. With the indicated accessories it would be a perfect combination of a strong, portable hiking staff and an effective emergency weapon. Even in the "closed" position with the spear head inside the staff, it's weight at that end makes it a mean club. And, affixing the spear to only one or two of the three additional pipe sections, makes a mean assegai. Remember, when used as a staff or spear, this, or any other "screw together" pole should be checked and tightened periodically. Especially after dispatching a lion, tiger, bear or sasquatch. With my suggested enhancements this would be the perfect wilderness trail buddy. And it's a good one without them. In either the great outdoors or a dangerous inhabited environment. Please Note: I have a very similar product from BMF (not sure if it is still available) with a a tri-bladed. spike spear head. The point is very sharp. However, the "blade" edges are blunt. This design offers good penetration and will create a large, very serious wound channel, but, it is strictly for thrusting with no slashing capability, and, unlike this spear head, it can't function as a knife. ALSO, a quick human adversary can grab the spearhead and deflect or immobilize it. Or, worse still take it away. If he tried that with this spear, he'd mangle his hand. Very good as is. Five star plus with the proposed accessories.

Better than the one I had before.
This became the perfect thing to combine with a similar item that I had ordered from Bud-K. The one I had ordered years ago was a sectional 3ft walking staff that had a Crossway 4 edged blade (much like some bayonet blades) but it wasn't that sharp and the steel was decent but could have been better. But with this one the spear, was much better steel, and sharper. So I took all the sections from the old one and combined it with this one and now I have a sectioned staff that is actually 6ft in length with a spear with decent reach once the sheath section is removed. Also with 5 hollow sections instead of just 3, it allows for more places to store various types of survivalist gear; since it is technically listed as a "survival staff".
