Update: it’s still working
2 month update: Still going strong! This thing is great, I’m very impressed with the battery life. Unfortunately it still hasn’t caught me any shinys yet but it’s caught 3 dittos. It pains me to think about it trying to catch a shiny but it flees and I’m none the wiser. I guess ignorance is bliss! Anyways that’s not why I bought it. Since I don’t have a lot of time to play pokemon go this thing is great for racking up that scarce stardust!TLDR: this device works great for me even though I was scared it wouldn’t based off the reviews I readAre you tired of spending your hard earned money every month on poké coins but feeling like you’re not actually getting anything? I WAS! That’s why I took a risk and bought this auto catcher. My idea was I spend a decent chunk of change instead of spending 5-10 dollars on poké coins 2-3 times a week just for a few remote raid passes. The micro transactions are a huge rip off. The MAIN REASON I wanted an auto catcher was to get more star dust. I’m not even playing the game but I’m passively getting dust every time this thing catches a mon. I say I took a risk because a lot of these reviews mention connectivity issues, which I thankfully have not experienced at all. I have a i phone 10 that gets super laggy when playing Pokémon go sometimes so I was really scared that this catcher wouldn’t work for me but connecting to the devices is incredibly seamless! When you connect it to your game for the first time it will add a dedicated button to the top right of your screen that will stay there unless you remove the catcher from your device. All I do is press the button on the catcher and then the button on the screen and boom! Instantly connected. I keep the device clipped to my pocket 24/7 like you can see in the second picture, and when I head out the door I just press two buttons and completely forget about Pokémon go as I go about my day. I really like how discrete it is clipped in my pocket. Where I put it is the perfect spot because it’s very light and I can tell it would probably crack the plastic if I put it in my back pocket and sat on it. The biggest issue that I’ve had so far is running out of poké balls. This catcher will throw one normal poké ball and any mon you get close to, if the Pokémon escapes that first throw then the Pokémon will flee 100% of the time, I’m pretty sure this is how all catchers work. This catcher will also spin gym/stops but it seems to prioritize catching Pokémon first which is a con for me since you will run out of pokeballs using this if it doesn’t spin enough gyms. I haven’t had time to actually take time to just play for a while since I’ve had the device so that’s why I’m running out of balls. Sometimes when I pass an area with a bunch of stops I make an effort to spin all the stops to stay topped up on balls. But yes when you run out of normal balls this catcher will only spin gyms until you get more. From what I’ve seen online of the other catchers, this device has less range than the others. It will not lock on to pokemon that are close to the edge of the circle around you. This isn’t a huge issue, yes it will catch slightly less but I’m tight on money right now so for half the price of other catchers I am very happy with it. 10/10 would buy again. I hope this device will last me a long time. Also the battery life is amazing. I’ve only plugged it in to charge a few times and the light stops blinking and stays solid to indicate that it’s fully charged within 10 minutes. Id say you can probably only have to charge this once a week even if you use it a lot. I play go battle league pretty competitively so I’m always low on star dust powering up meta relevant mon’s and this really helps me out being able to build up way more star dust that before. Here and there I quickly check all the ivs on the pokemon, favorite the ones I want to keep and transfer the rest. If you buy this catcher I hope it works as good for you as it does for me.

My favorite! I like it even better than the new Pokemon Go Plus+
One year update:After almost a year, my auto-catcher died. I still have the Pokemon Go Plus+, but I really don't like it as much as this one. I contacted the seller since on a long shot the Amazon listing said the seller guaranteed the device for 365 days. I was really surprised how quickly they responded and offered to send out a new one. So I'm going all in with 5-stars as they have a GREAT product, and GREAT customer service. I will recommend this catcher to my friends/family.10-months in:It's been almost a year I've been using this auto-catcher and I'm still super happy with it. Battery life is crazy long. I recharge occassionally just to be sure it stays working while out on my daily walks, but I've never had the battery die while using it. I've gone a couple of weeks or more without charging it. Obviously that will differ depending on use, but I'm out walking the dog about an hour every day.As you can see in the pic, I modified mine just a bit. I usually carry mine around in my pants pocket or occassionally my shirt pocket, so I cut the clip off the back and sanded it down so it's lower profile and I don't even notice it. I also really like that this one doesn't have a forced vibration like the new Pokemon Go Plus Plus has. Many people are complaining they hate the constant vibrations and can't turn it off. Not a problem with this one.I sit at work with 3 gyms within range of my desk, and I just let it auto spin stops all day. By the end of the day I will have 300-400 or more pokeballs, so I'm all set for spotlight hour, event weekends, etc.So even though I bought the new Plus Plus, I think I'll pass that one on to my son and I will keep using this one. No vibrations, much smaller, and just as effective.Original review:Works great, and has really sped things up with gaining XP and leveling up. Also works great for community days, spotlight hours, etc. I don't normally spend money on things like Pokemon, so it took a long time for me to finally place the order, but now I wish I had done it long ago. Also, I REALLY like that this new version is rechargable. the original is not, and you have to replace the battery often.
