Bought this for my daughter's first car, which she's leabing to drive in. As befits her learner status, it's an older vehicle without many mod cons. Wasn't expecting too much of this but was pleasantly surprised how good it is.Connected to her phone with no issues and booted up Android Auto. Initially connected by the 3.5mm audio aux cable into her stereo's aux socket which wasn't great. An audible click/tick could be heard, possibly down to ni supperssor in the circuit somewhere. Was suprised to find an FM transmitter built in (I hadn't really looked in too much detail when ordering). Tuned the radio to the frequency, set it as a present and job done. Audio is significantly better than via the aux.For the money, an idea addition for an older vehicle.

This is basically the same as the other non branded Chinese versions on like likes of Aliexpress, but twice the price. However, for the money it appears to be very good and well made.Installed on a motorbike to Carplay my iPhone and use Sat-Nav, Spotify and phone calls. Once setup, it connect automatically within 10 seconds of powering on. Screen is very bright and responsive and connects to an additional Bluetooth device (helmet headphones) without issues. Only issue so far is that navigation voice commands are not transmitted to the Bluetooth headset and come directly out of the speaker on the rear of the unit. Although i think this may be a Carplay specific issue and not a fault with the unit. Overall i would recommend

I bought this item to tide me over for a few months until I saved up for a pricier ”higher-quality” version, however, this works incredibly well as it is out of the box and I now wont be replacing it. Plenty of ways to attach it to the dashboard are included, good connection, and I have ysed it daily since recieving! Highlh reccommend if you are looking to modernise and older car like I was!

I was looking for a cheap front-end display unit for using Android auto. I'd read the reviews and thought, well it might just do the job. Well it does! It uses your phones Bluetooth to connect to the car/van for a standard Bluetooth connection, but also connects the screen as a interface. So all the maps ect go via the screen and touch functions, and audio/calls are streaming go as normal to the radio headunit. Have found no lagging in audio, both calls and podcasts. And maps are very responsive. At its price range you couldn't do much better.

I bought this product as I wanted a CarPlay without buying a new car or getting one fitted. I should have saved my money to be honest. It is so temperamental and now it has stopped working all together and won’t connect my iPhone to it even after forgetting and repairing the device a number of times. I’m going to try and get a refund because to be honest it’s a pile of s***

It does the job you need it to. It’s quite easy and simple to connect to the car and mobile. I do find if the car shakes or if the wires move sometimes the audio cuts out or goes slightly static. It is only a basic product and on the lower costing side of the spectrum for this type of product.

Before writing the review, it's important to point out that I have a lot of experience with mobile technology, so I am far from a novice. Out of the box, this was great. It worked well. I was able to get it working with Car Play and Android Auto. Air Play worked (albeit very small with no obvious way to magnify, and MirrorLink worked). However, after a couple of days I noticed issues-Car Play would not automatically reconnect when getting back into the car and turning on. In addition, it quickly emerged that I couldn't reconnect at all-despite forgetting, resetting (and hard resetting the Smartscreen), repairing and everything in between, it simply wouldn't initiate Car Play, despite being paired and connected both via Bluetooth and in the Car Play menu on the iPhone. In the end I gave up and sent it back-which is a shame, but basically wasn't fit for purpose. It could use a battery to hold some residual charge, rather than needing a full boot every time the car is turned on. 2 stars because support did respond, but had absolutely no answers to the issue-so not any help. I guess you get what you pay for, but I won't be buying another one.

Good piece of kit easy to instal works well and quality and sound are good and great price . Would recommend.
