Fixed one problem with my car and eliminated a possibility…
I recently bought a 2012 Toyota Camry SE that has mechanical issues and got it for cheap. It has a cylinder 3 misfire and when I started digging, I found the fuel injector for that cylinder was leaking under pressure. Thinking this would eliminate the misfire, I ordered a set and installed them as soon as I got them. I wish I could say they totally fixed my issue, but they did not. They did, however, solve what I think caused what is really wrong. It turns out that my car has a burnt exhaust valve on that cylinder that I am pretty certain was caused by running the bad injector for so long before replacement. I got the car with the misfire going on and was sure I could fix it with little issue between plugs, coils and injectors. Turns out, nope - I am gonna have to tear the head off it and either rebuild it or replace with a different head to get it running right and that will have to wait a bit. But the car will do what I need which is driving 2.5 miles one way on a fairly light road as far as traffic is concerned between my home and my work.But these injectors work great and now the car is running mostly right despite the bad exhaust valve. No, no - it’s really not, but everything else despite the valve is working like it supposed to. It would have been really nice if this was the fix for it, but it will be one less issue to fix when I do fix what is totally wrong. For that, I am really happy I got these. They are fairly easy to install and fit perfectly in the rail and intake.
