Very good book. Very informative and not any close to being dull. Apart from the Civil War and the American revolution, I hadn't known much about the USA, before I read this book.

An easy read. I was able to read and maintain interest. Very Straightforward. Always something new to learn!History can often be dry and confusing with many names or dates. This book is written and edited for an easier read.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. not get bogged down.

This book was a great book to read. I learned a lot of things I did not know. Being the History Lover I am I am very interested in reading more books. It’s amazing how far America has came from the first day of it being found till now. Abraham Lincoln is still my favorite president not just because he is a Kentuckian like myself but because he did what he wanted to do.

The book was interesting in terms of capturing yhe major historic events; helps to put matters into perspective. I certainly learned that this nation loves to engage in wars one way or the ther, for right or wrong, but certainly for power and might. Something to further study. Also learned that the U.S. as righteous as we are do break treaties and commitments as we wish but expect others to be noble, if not, they get punished.What I disliked is the Author's clear partial political leaning which unfortunately puts in question the accuracy an suggested consequences. It is unfortunate that not even our historians can compose events without political bias. Give it a thought.

This is a good document of how the left sees our history but only wants to opine on how it fits their views.

Appreciate the attempt to summarize American history. The closer it got to current history the more author bias became evident. Perhaps historical writings should have (R) or (D) after the author's name. This one is clearly (D).

A precise and thorough overview of the major historical events that influenced and shaped the United States. It's accurate and informative and as unbiased as any reader could expect until the last chapter or so, where it is a bit too soon to analyze the most recent events, although the opinions will likely prove true over time. Overall, an entertaining and educational quick non-fiction read for history fans or a good place to start more in-depth research.Booksprout Review Copy
