Great lens - heavy but worth it.
This lens is great, 150mm is a pretty good amount of zoom and it's fast at f2-2.8.I don't regret buying it.Won't always take it out due to the mega size and weight but I think will be great to use for shooting weddings etc. Wish you didn't have to lock it to stop the zoom moving around when not in use but that's alright.

Heavy but absolutely amazing
While this lens definitely ways the same as a brick it is absolutely brilliant. The sharpness and focus is just amazing, I've taken some stunning shots with this lens (paired with my A7RII) for anyone looking for a good range zoom lens with a low f number I'd definitely recommend it.

Great lens for photos and muscle building!
I recently purchased the Samyang 35-150mm f/2-2.8 zoom lens for my Sony a7Riii, and it has been phenomenal. Initially, I couldn't justify the cost of the Tamron, but reviews suggested this was a close competitor, and I haven't been disappointed. I did own the Samyang 24-70 but was disappointed with its image quality so this was a gamble. This lens has quickly become my workhorse, delivering excellent image quality and a versatile zoom range that covers most of my shooting needs. The build quality is solid, though it is VERY heavy. The zoom ring has a little play in it, feeling somewhat squidgy, which might be a minor drawback for some and the lens creep is very annoying. While it doesn't match the sharpness of prime lenses, it comes impressively close, and the convenience of the zoom range more than makes up for it. Overall, the Samyang 35-150mm f/2-2.8 is a fantastic lens that offers great value and performance, making it an indispensable part of my gear.

Heavy but very sharp and a good range
I was very sceptical about buying this lens, but It came up pretty cheap on black friday, I've shot two wedding with it now and it work like a dream, replaces my two body set up (70-180mm and 35mm) great buy😊😊

Great while it worked
Received lens, worked like magic! Two weeks later zoom did not go beyond 70mm, and aperture stuck at f4. Sadly returned a great lens. Might explore tamron now coz the range was perfect for me.

It’s BIG but it’s great.
Very fast to focus, sharp through the range and of course that wide aperture which is why you’re looking at this right? The downside is not so much the weight (though it’s heavy) as the size. Diameter of the lens means my A7C ii won’t sit flat on the table! I’ve added a plate to the camera though which helps this and gives a better grip. It’s also a shame the lens doesn’t come with a tripod collar, supporting this weight from the camera feels wrong - I found a 3rd party one to fit however - Haoge LMR-S99E shown in the picture.
