In spite of the negative reviews about the pump/fan having trouble, I bought this. It really seems to work great, the materials and workmanship aren't bad. I'm pleased with it so far. Tonight is the actual acid test, we'll see if it holds up. If not, I'll likely add comments later.

Inflates with a built in fan
This costume stays inflated by a small fan that runs on 4 AA batteries. It has to run the entire time the person wears it. It does make a small sound but not very loud at all. It brought a lot of laughs to our play, which is what we were hoping. We used it for 3 dress rehearsals and 2 performances. On the last night, the fan came detached from the costume. We pinned the opening to keep the fan in place. That's my only complaint about it. Otherwise, it was easy to get in and out of, comfortable and did not become hot as the material is thin and the fan kept the actor cool.

Fun costume
This costume was a big hit at a costume party. It was easy to put on and fits around the waist with a big drawstring. The blower kept it inflated well and the batteries lasted over 2 hrs straight. The air keeps you from getting overheated wearing it indoors too. I thought it was a good value for the price, and I am glad I bought it.

Fantastic costume! Won first place at the casino KY Derby costume contest
We added a few things to the outfit to make it more of a race horse theme. We were a little concerned about the fit, but it was surprisingly large. My husband is 5"10" and 215 pounds. It fit him fine, but there was a lot of room left over. It could easily fit a much larger person. It took only about a minute to inflate and we never had to change the batteries even though he wore it a couple of hours. Best of all, he won first place in the Kentucky Derby costume contest at our local casino.

Did not work.
The fan mechanism did not work and it never inflated the costume. It tried but to no avail. I walked around with a costume hugging my legs :(
