Fantastic image quality and decent solid construction. Great for portraiture as well as macro and can be used in lower light conditions as it fairly fast at F2.8. Yes its a bit pricey but you get what you pay for.

This the the most expensive lens I have ever bought but it's actually worth the money. I've got some ex rings which are good for macro but nothing else and I tried the xf-60mm which is half the money but only 1:2 macro and nowhere near as good as this.Yes, the xf80mm is heavy at over 700g but it's not overly long and feels very well balanced on my x-h1. Sharpness is off the scale and bokeh is beautiful. Autofocus is fast but you need to remember to use the focus distance switch on the barrel if you are getting really close for macro (min focus distance is 25cm), otherwise it hunts a bit and then tells you that it can't focus.I've recently moved from Nikon Z mount to Fuji and wasn't sure about the decision until I used this lens and there's nothing that works on a Nikon that compares to this. It makes a slightly disconcerting rattling noise when you pick it up or when it's attached and the camera is off but it's only the stabilisation that's not active and the noise goes away as soon as you power up the camera.It's always said it's worth investing in good glass and this is the proof.

Sharp and large are the two words that come to mind.With a 1:1 magnification this lens is ideal for macro work. Build quality is good and focus speed is okay for macro work, but excellent for distance work.Macro work needs to be done where there is lots of light to enable you to stop down to f11 plus, or else the plan of focus will be ridiculously shallow.

Cons:Autofocus is not as fast as 56mm 1.2 or 10-24mm. Not a fast one. Obvious operating noise more than 18-135mm. Too expensive in UK. Heavy.

Nothing to dislike usual Fuji quality

At this price it is twice what it should be. It is an amazing lens, but the 50-140 gets far more use.

Best macro lens I've owned.

This is the sharpest fuji X-series lens to date. Having used the XF60mm macro lens, the 80mm is a clear step up. Focus is incredibly fast and resolving power is off the scale. The OIS works effectively. If you are into Fuji X series and want a macro lens then this is the one especially given its 1:1 ratio.

La nitidez que tiene esta lente es una maravilla, enfoque automático muy preciso, utilizado en retrato y foto de producto, para mí es un imprescindible.

The image fidelity of this lens is of a high level. It's heavy but those who prioritises optics would definitely love this lens.

Le Fujinon XF80 mm f/2.8 R LM OIS WR est un vrai objectif macro (rapport de grossissement 1:1, contrairement au 1:2 du 60 mm f/2.4). Il est badgé XF « rouge » qui dénote la gamme pro (équivalent des objectifs « L » au trait rouge de Canon). La focale de 80 mm est l’équivalent de 120 mm en plein format, une focale un peu plus longue que la norme, qui a l’avantage de vous éloigner de votre sujet. L’ouverture maximale de f/2.8 est dans les normes, mais honneur à Fuji de faire preuve d’honnêteté en nous rappelant que cette mesure vaut à l’infini uniquement. Quant à la pléthore des autres initiales si chères à Fuji, « R » veut dire qu’il y a une bague pour régler l’ouverture comme pour bien d’autres objectifs Fuji, même si cela s’avère moins utile en macro (préférez personnaliser une touche fonction pour ne pas effrayer votre sujet). « LM » désigne des moteurs linéaires, donc, une mise au point rapide et pas trop bruyante (bien meilleure en tout cas que le 60 mm). De plus, le sélecteur de plages de MAP procure un avantage considérable en bonne luminosité. La stabilisation (« OIS ») marche très bien et fonctionne en tandem avec l’IBIS, si vous l’avez. Enfin, l’objectif est tropicalisé, un argument de poids à mon avis.La construction de l’objectif est solide. Il faut savoir que cet objectif est plus grand, plus lourd, plus net, mieux construit et enfin plus cher que son équivalent chez Canon (le 100 mm macro f/2.8 L IS macro). Le Canon, pourtant un objectif L, a l’air plastoque à côté. Par contre, comme vous le diront toutes les revues, il y a un élément flottant à l’intérieur du Fuji qui fait un drôle de bruit. Ça fait bizarre, mais on s’y habitue. Les moteurs, une fois alimentés, sont relativement silencieux.Les arguments habituels en faveur de la monture X n’ont pas cours ici ; c’est un objectif lourd que je ne voudrais pas utiliser avec les petits boîtiers. C’est un objectif long à 15 cm, couplé à un pare-soleil - bien plastique - de 8 cm pour une distance minimale de MAP de 25 cm à partir du Φ, ce qui nécessite une source de lumière externe. C’est aussi un objectif cher, le macro le plus cher que j’ai acheté. Par contre, pour la qualité d’image, c’est aussi le meilleur : netteté excellente dans les coins et au centre dès f/2.8, époustouflante à partir de f/5.6 et ce, jusqu’à f/16, la diffraction se faisant remarquer en plus petites ouvertures sur les APS-C. Sur les autres critères (distorsion, aberration chromatique…), cet objectif dépasse en tout point mon objectif de référence en plein format, le Canon 100 mm f/2.8 L IS macro, y compris dans le prix. Je l’ai acheté pour pouvoir partir dans la nature avec un boîtier Fuji au lieu d’un ensemble DSLR bien lourd en plein format. Avec cet objectif je partirai sans regretter mon Canon.C’est le prix qui lui enlève la dernière étoile. En natif, il y a cet objectif et le 60 mm f/2.4. On doit choisir entre une Clio et une Porsche. Il n’y a rien de Sigma ou de Tamron qui combe le très grand écart entre les 2. Si vous êtes sérieux en macrophotographie, le prix se justifie par la qualité d’image. Pour les débutants, Fuji est moins votre ami que les grandes marques couplées aux objectifs tiers.

Cosa dire?! Non trovo difetti! È nitidissimo è la messa a fuoco è abbastanza veloce, durante la messa a fuoco fa un leggero rumore ma a me personalmente non dà fastidio anzi è quasi impercettibile! È perfetto sia per la fotografia di still life che per la macro di natura e insetti!

Bisher hatte ich das XF 60 mm Makro von Fujifilm. Es war klein, leicht, leistbar und bot eine überzeugende Bildqualität. Nachteil für mich war der maximale Abbildungsmaßstab von 1:2. Daher liebäugelte ich gleich nach Erscheinen mit dem XF 80 mm F2.8 R LM OIS WR Macro, wobei mir der Preis sehr hoch erschien. Dank Cash Back und Amazon-Rabatt (fast 250,-€) war es plötzlich erschwinglicher. Das XF 80 bietet eine längere Brennweite, ist spritzwassergeschützt, bildet mit 1:1 ab und hat obendrein noch einen optischen Bildstabilisator. Aufgrund der vielen positiven Rezensionen entschied ich mich letztendlich zum Kauf der Linse. Bereut habe ich es nicht. Schon die ersten Bilder überzeugten voll und ganz. Der optische Bildstabilisator funktioniert tadellos und hält was er verspricht. Makro-Freihandfotos sind somit bei entsprechender Belichtungszeit problemlos möglich, was ein großer Vorteil beim Fokus-Stacking ist. Das neue Makro von Fuji arbeitet mit einem schnellen Innenfokussystem. Allerdings ist es recht schwer, gerade noch so für T2 geeignet. Die Streulichtblende finde ich groß und sperrig. Zum Glück kann man diese meist getrost weglassen. Das Makro ist mit neun Blendenlamellen ausgestattet, die eine nahezu kreisrunde Form bilden. Damit ist ein schönes Bokeh gewährleistet und somit portraittauglich. Das Glas ist frei von Verzeichnungen und Farbsäumen. Geisterbilder oder Blendenreflexe konnte ich, auch bei Gegenlicht, nicht beobachten.Nachteil: Für ein Makroobjektiv fällt das XF 80 mm ausgesprochen groß und schwer aus und ist obendrein nicht ganz billig.Vorteil: Es ist mit beiden Telekonvertern von Fuji kompatibel. Bis zu 160mm Brennweite sind dann drin.*** Fazit ***Ein sehr gutes Makro mit schönem Bokeh und einer Brennweite, welche sich auch wunderbar für Porträts eignet. Solide Verarbeitung, hohe Auflösung und ein schneller Autofokus runden die Sache ab. Die exzellente Bildqualität spricht für sich.Der gute optische Bildstabilisator ist noch das „Sahnehäubchen“ obendrauf. Mit Preisnachlass und Cash-Back bei Amazon gerade noch erschwinglich.
