After doing some research, this microphone seems to be recommended as the microphone for people who don't really know much about microphones, which is a camp I fall into. To my untrained ears, it sounds really good, and the controls are better than a lot of others that I looked at. Also very good at sound rejection - handling the microphone while it's recording doesn't seem to bother it that much, and it handles plosive sounds very well without pop shields etc (although obviously, that's also a characteristic of the speakers voice). I'm sure someone who's trained in audio stuff could find a better microphone for this is good for amateurs at least.

The Sennheiser Profile USB microphone is an excellent choice of microphone for a great price.I bought this microphone to use for my Podcast and my One-to-one work. The sound is brilliant, feedback is spot on, solid build quality and the fact that you can separate it from its base means it would work perfectly with adjustable microphone stand.I would highly recommend this microphone to anyone that wants a near studio quality experience without having to spend too much money.

I should start by saying that I am no voiceover artist or audio professional, but I needed a mic that I could use over Zoom/Teams, etc. I'm so impressed with the Sennheiser Profile. I watched quite a few comparative YouTube videos (as is my way) before purchasing it, but you never really know until you receive something, whether it'll live up to expectations, but this mic certainly has. It is literally a plug-n-play microphone, out of the box, plug it into my laptop and I was away. Don't forget to pop into the Zoom settings to help it recognize your new mic (I spent 5 minutes trying to figure out why I could hear the other person but they couldn't hear me until I worked that one out, but that's my issue, not the mic's). Everyone's commented on how crisp my voice sounds now, no background noise, just clear audio. The YouTube video's I'd watched gave me guidance on how far away the mic should be and the settings it should be at (essentially, unless you're a professional, all the dials on the front can be at their center points).If I had to be picky, the one issue I had with it is that it comes with a USBC to USBC cable and my laptop does not have a USBC port, but I happened to have a USBC to USB cable here to I just used that instead.So, in summary, great mic, surprisingly affordable, happy customer!

I bought this to improve the audio quality for my YouTube videos and it made a HUGE difference. If you’re looking for a relatively affordable piece of gear to improve audio I’d recommend this microphone. Has three easy to access buttons in the from for gain, mute and Source control. It’s great at making out the s all noises around me.I’m inside a small building with dogs and other outdoor noises happening, which usually my phone mic would pick up. This microphone just focuses on my voice and makes the video sound great! apart from the usual adjusting gain and selecting input method, It’s a plug and play experience. No software to download or install, just plug in with the USB c cable, adjust gain and make sure it’s selected as an audio input device and you’re good to go!

I seriously rate Seinheisser. Everything I've had from them is reliable, great quality, works out of the box and sound build quality. It's my go to brand for this kind of gear and competes with the big names easily.
