Totally Elsa!
My niece absolutely loved this Elsa microphone for her fourth birthday! It is pretty loud, but she thought that was great. Every little girl loves Let It Go, and this is the perfect accessory for them. It lights up and sings a few lines of Let It Go. Great price and very easy for kids to use.

Adults may think it is terrible, little children will think it is great
This item was a hit with my Frozen-obsessed niece. I bought it here on Amazon.Addressing what seem to be the two major complaints:It DOES play the full songs. There is a plastic tab that has to be pulled free from the battery compartment to take it out of Demo Mode. I did not do this personally, I only mentioned it to the 5 year old and she accomplished it. Once done, however (again, by a 5 year old), it played the full songs. It is not a "real" microphone. The amplified voice effect is somewhat muddled and not particularly strong. This matters little to a 5 year old girl. She was thrilled to hear her voice along with the music. Adults may think it is terrible, little children will think it is great. It hooked up easily to a smartphone and she could sing along with any song she liked. It played that music more than adequately. After 30 straight minutes, you will come to believe that the amplification is more than sufficient. Her parents certainly did.I like to give loud gifts because I enjoy seeing children enjoying themselves as children should. And also as revenge on my older brother. That's what Uncles are for.

Kids will love it, adults not so much. But who's playing with it?
My Frozen obsessed daughter who loves to sing was SO HAPPY when she got this for Christmas!! She would not put it down for a few days straight and we had to set limits for the sake of our sanity and my marriage, LOL.The volume is ok, wish there was more control over that, but kids will just make it as loud as possible I guess. The sound quality is not superb, but this is a toy, not a real microphone, eh?Sturdy construction. It's been banged around quite a bit in the past month, and held up fine.My biggest gripe is that there are only 2 songs installed, and it did not include "Do you want to build a snowman"; just "Let it go" and olaf's "Summertime". For the price ($13), I would expect the 2 most popular songs at least. The MP3 connection worked fine, but you have to connect it to the ipod etc, search for the song etc etc. Then you best make sure you remember to disconnect your MP3 player or else it will get dragged, dangling by the cord to wherever your little princess imagines her next singing adventure!

Christmas gift
My granddaughter loved this. The sound quality was so clear. Easy for her to use. She's 6 now but definitely was a great gift for the price.

Doesnt play the entire songs.
I read reviews on here that said this Mic doesn't play the full songs. I read other reviews that said it did if you pulled out the tab in the back. Despite the mixed reviews, I went ahead and purchased it anyway, because my daughter had been wanting her own toy microphone and she's obsessed with frozen. As I thought, she loves it, but there are a few things I don't love.1) You have to hold down a button for the Mic to actually amplify your child's voice. Please bear this in mind if you're buying for a smaller child. My kid is nearly 3 and can't manage to keep the button depressed2) There are no volume up- down settings.3) This doesn't play the version of " Let it go" sung by Idina Menzel (Elsa), which was disappointing, since that's the version my child is familiar with. Instead, it plays the version sung by Demi Lovato, and plays the following verse: Let it go, let it goCan't hold it back anymoreLet it go, let it goTurn my back and slam the doorAnd here I stand and here I'll stayLet it go, let it goThe cold never bothered me anyway4) Only the following portion of "In Summer" is played:Bees'll buzz, kids'll blow dandelion fuzzAnd I'll be doing whatever snow does in summer.A drink in my hand, my snow up against the burning sandProb'ly getting gorgeously tanned in summer.I'll finally see a summer breeze, blow away a winter storm. And find out what happens to solid water when it gets warm!My daughter seems to enjoy playing with it, and once she's old enough to hold down the Mic button for herself, she'll probably have even more fun with it. For the price, I'm not sorry I bought it, but I wish I had known the previously listed things before purchasing.
