Too big for my liking
Pills are little too big for my liking. Took a while to go down my digestive tract. I would say good advice would be to make them a little smaller.

Nice supplement
This is a nice supplement to support skin, hair, nail, and joint. I have been taking them, and haven't seen much difference on my skin and such, but I could say that is the point, for skin to look the same instead of aging. As for joint, I haven't noticed a big difference either, but it is a nice quality supplement, and I am looking forward to see some good result.

FabLab Marine Collagen Supplement
I ordered this Marine Collagen 1000mg supplement by FabLab to counteract the damaging effects of chlorine, as I’m a regular lap swimmer.I like that the capsules are small, easy to swallow and you only need to take two per day. Some collagen supplement require 4 pills per day. I didn’t notice a fishy smell, which is a plus, to me.Although I’ve mostly used bovine collagen, to good effect, my understanding is that marine collagen contains Type I and Type II.“Type I collagen, specifically, is found all over the body (except for cartilage) and is most highly concentrated in bone, ligaments, tendons, skin, hair, nails, and the gut lining. Type II is mainly found in cartilage. Grass-fed bovine collagen, on the other hand, is high in Type I and Type III. Type III collagen is found in skin, muscle, and blood vessels. The combination of Type I and Type III make grass-fed bovine collagen superior for overall health” according to one source. That could be why you’ll often see collagen supplements that combine the three main collagen sources, namely: marine, bovine and poultry. So that you receive different types of collagen that your body can benefit from. Typically, bovine collagen is the majority of the product and marine collagen content is quite small, relative to the total. If you are a pescatarian and would like to supplement with collagen, then this is what you should get. It’s 50 servings of 1000mg, which is an effective dose. Below that amount might not really do all that much for you. It’ll take a while before you start to notice changes, but stick with it and be patient. You’ll be glad you did. It may take a month, or longer.I take this in the morning and later on in the day I’ll take a powder bovine collagen supplement added to my workout drink mix. I find that this combination works best for me.There’s no way to verify that the source is from sustainably caught fish, if that matters to you. Also, I can’t tell if this is third party lab tested to be free of contaminants like mercury and other heavy metals. There is no indication of that.As another reviewer mentioned, the company website provides scant information and just a Hollywood, CA address, but no way to know where the raw ingredients are sourced and processed. I highly doubt they process fish parts in Hollywood, but hey, I could be wrong. The expiration date shown is 11/10/2026.I wish I knew more about this product, especially the type of fish and more about the company. It is made in the USA, non-GMO, with no fillers, preservatives or gluten, which is all good to know.I think this is a good value for what you get. You get 50 doses for about what other collagen supplements charge for a 30 day supply, but the prices and market vary quite a bit. I haven’t made an apple-to-apple comparison regarding marine collagen, so you’ll have to do some checking.

Works!
I couldn't say anything about joint pain relief with this supplement as I do racket sports twice a week and my knees and elbow joints are always in pain and nothing of sorts have bring any relief to those, including this marine collagen supplementation. So no, it does not bring any improvement to my case, however, do note that I do these racket sports 3-4 hours each session, twice a week where my heart rate race to 180+ at times. So you get an idea that it does get pretty intense with what I'm into. Let's not say this marine collagen doesn't bring relief to my type of joint pain, I'll go further and say that the degree of pain and injury I bring upon myself is far beyond marine collagen supplementation can alleviate, so let's leave it at that. I do, however also supplement myself every other day with Osteo Bi-Flex, so with all goods combined, I've maintained some sort of homeostasis with what I have so far, and this marine collagen does not help with the pain problem. With the above clearly stated, I will attest that my skin complexion has much improved about 3 weeks after getting on this regime. I also do take other hair/skin/nails type of collagen supplementation. But nothing got close to bringing an obvious outcome to this Fablab stuff. I'm 45 years old and I'll say that my wrinkle cracks are appearing, but with this supplementation at least my skin gets that shiny complexion and my fingers are a lot less dryer. In recent years I realized that I couldn't swipe open the plastic bags in the fruit/veggie section in the super markets. I see these days I've been able to swipe those bags open again, every time. Then when I run out of these pills over 2 weeks back, this is the week I run dry fingers again. Yea I wanted to test the theory, so I haven't bought the refills, yet, and sure enough I'm back to skin dry mode. By the way, I took this marine collagen once daily. And after noticing this difference, I went ahead and ordered another brand of marine collagen to try out and compare. The other brand uses Ajinomoto's marine collagen in a much heftier dosage than this one. So I'm eager to see if that makes a big difference. For sake of this review, the Fablab's supplementation does work for skin improvement. I also live in an area with very hard water quality; and this supplementation does a fantastic job at strengthening my hair and guard against hair falling in the shower. Overall, this thing does work for me as far as collagen is concerned. It didn't do much on joint pain, but that could be due to my own personal lifestyle. So yeah, this is highly recommendable for anyone looking for economical solution to better skin and preventive maintenance into their aging years.
