Lamisil is an anti-fungal cream, that controls athletes foot, toenail, fungus, etc. it is highly effective at controlling fungus, and I would imagine it would work well on jock itch.

I came back from 10 days on a very nice, well-known island in the northern Caribbean, and found my modest case of athlete's foot had significantly intensified. (A medication that suppresses immunity to fungi turned out to be a bad combination with a trip to a warm, moist climate.)The cons: (1) requires washing and drying feet, and applying Lamisil (cream) twice a day for two weeks; (2) I understand doesn't actually rid you of the fungus, but it can, in some cases, shut it down for awhile; (3) the cream is expensive, and sort-of hard to find (especially the 30g tube), and *I* found one tube doesn't go that far.The pros: (1) There was nothing unpleasant about it; it's even sort of soothing; and (2) Applied as directed, it did more or less shut the outbreak down, for the present.I don't know of any effective alternatives that are either (1) more effective, or (2) without significant side effects or drawbacks.It came in handy in a pinch.

I was really hoping this would work on toenail fungus. Some of the product descriptions stated that it would. Yes, it did clear up a slight athlete's foot but did nothing for toenails.

Bought rhis brand cause it has the recommended ingredient on multiple websites , Terbinafine Hydrochloride Cream 1% Antifungal for fast and effective athlete foot killer. Will work on your crotch too if needed. A little more expensive then other formulations but faster acting, and two weeks of twice a day and my feet which were even cracked I'm embarrassed a little to say or back to themselves. Very happy and worth the price for 2 weeks instead of four Now also found in the exact same formulation in generic like brand names and used that once too and works fine as well because it too is Terbinafine Hydrochloride Cream 1% Antifungal (its even the ingredient found in doctor prescribed pills) but this of course is over the counter and not to be eaten!
