Q: Are they a true red ?

I bought 8 towels in red. They are Christmas red if that helps . Definitely not on the orange red side

These towels are thick, absorbent and absolutely gorgeous! I highly recommend them.

Q: Are they full of lint?

Hi Sandra! The answer is ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!!!! Read my review and you will see in detail what my experience is! I read reviews that said they sloughed off in the washer like 3 times and had a lot of lint in the dryer. All I can tell you is that after the first wash, there was NO string or residue in the washer and the lint filter in the dryer was an even bigger surprise--hardly any at all!!! They came out of the dryer all big and fluffy--gorgeous white towels! The quality is evident in the look of them. I bought two for myself and two to give as gifts (all are being monogrammed now!!) for 2 friends I am meeting in Rome in February 2014. We are going to a huge spa and I thought such beautiful towels would be a nice gift. I think both guys will like them a lot!! I can only tell you my experience with them--I don't know about anyone else. All I can say is they are WORTH the money!!!!!

Q: Does anyone know if the color "Rust" is as gold as the photo? I was hoping for more of a clay pot color.

I did not find mine on the gold side. More towards clay. Perfect in my bathroom. Towels are excellent quality. No lint, thick, soft and absorbant.
