Super cute. Got them for toddlers. Thinking maybe they are meant for a little older. Lol some of the parts didn't last long with them.

My foster is terrified of anything that lives and breathes that can be remotely classified as a bug (or a bird, mouse, snake, cow... anything that isn't human, cat or dog.) And I do mean TERRIFIED.Seriously, the kid melts if there is a fruit fly within a hundred miles. And don't get me started on a mosquito or (God forbid) the dreaded stink bug. The worms come out to die on my driveway and she won't walk to the car. She won't walk around them or within feet of their existence. It's getting old. She's 7 and not light! I'm not young! She's killing me here!SO, we bought her a bug collector kit and a bug book for her Easter basket.We haven't fixed the worm issue yet, but this thing has been so fun! She even picked up inchworms and a fly all by herself AND!! A WORM with the tweezers! I count that a giant win. Every weekend since Easter we have gone bug hunting.Of course, I am probably going to hell for all of the bugs that have died in my care within this thing, but it's a sin I am willing to bear on her behalf.

Grandsons have so much fun with this set. The “smoke” adds to the fun as well as the working lantern.
