A Very Useful Lens
This is a small, light, all purpose lens useful as a wide angle on full-frame Z bodies or a standard lens on APS-C Z bodies or full-frame bodies in Dx crop mode. It is a pleasure to carry mounted on my Z7ii for street or landscape photography, far better than the usual heavy, bulky Z lenses. Images exhibit no distortion in any way except at extreme close-ups, which is to be expected and even welcomed. And, it’s very sharp, right up there with all the f/1.8 Z lenses.

Sharp photos with any Nikon Z series camera, but I find it most useful with my my Z50. Together, they make a great compact walking around or hiking duo

Great pancake lens
Absolutely great optics in an awesome pancake lens form. The auto-focus sounds are not exaggerated by other folks, it is very noticeable. It's fine if your shooting stills obviously but it will definitely make itself known during video shooting.As much as I wanted this lens, I felt the price was way too high for a prime non-S line lens. Perhaps if this goes on sale, I'll think about buying again but the price was constantly on my mind when using this lens
