Replacement for el-4280p-1230 automotion shade
Replacement for el-4280p-1230 automotion shadeThis is a good replacement for the el-4280p-1230 automotion shade. Note you may want to check your current motor first. Tap in the pins on the motor end of the tube with the wheel. When I took mine out it was full of oil. Once dried up and blown out with an air compressor, it worked flawlessly. Since I had already ordered these new ones, I put them in instead. When looking inside the tube, you'll see 4 sets of notches. 3 with a grove in-between, one looks more solid. Had to sand the black wheel that goes in the tube down there it hits the solid notch. Careful only to sand off what you must to get the wheel to enter the shade tube. Once in, it fit very snug. Did not need a set screw. Make sure to wind the spring on the other end. Give it 10 to 12 turns. Also make sure to test the polarity of your wires before final crimping. Makes a difference if the shade goes up or down. Also note that the adjustment screws need to be pointed downwards so you can adjust the top and bottom stop limits once installed. Clockwise to increase each limit, counter clockwise to reduce.Pics are from the original motor. New one looks very similar.

MCD replacement
Very nice replacement for the MCD electric roller shades. Got to remove the metal part to get it to work with the bracket but works great. These were $100 less and love the mechanical setting instead of the electronic setting that goes out of sync all the time. Need 2 more but waiting for a sale got mine here at $59 each

Great alternative for motorhome front shade motor
I used this to replace the failing shade motor on my 2014 Tiffin Open road 36la. No, it's not a direct fit. I had to use a sharp knife and shave off a little white tab to make it work, but once in it was great. I didn't even need to use the set screw from the old motor as it's a tight fit and it stayed on its own. Whatever you do, don't throw out the little adjustment stick. We had to use that to adjust the motor so the shade would go all the way down
