It's made of 316 stainless steel which make is perfect for use in wet environments. I ordered this chain for attaching a large boat fender to a ramp liftgate on a utility pipe trailer. It works perfect and the locking add-a-links secure the chain and fender to the steel mesh gate perfectly. This is a sturdy chain that can hold up well for many years of even rough use.
