It works in rain and shine
I got it on a good deal, so I bought two for my 500 gallon pond. Their 1.5 HP cooler was clumsy and too big for home use, neither did it come with any plumbing supplies, this one comes with everything you need. It is certainly not good enough to cool 500 gallons but is able to maintain 80 to 82 for my koi pond in Texas heat. I never intended to use it in rain but had it near the edge of the patio roof and forgot about it. Suddenly it rained and plenty of water splashed on it. It kept working. I got two pieces to reduce the load off one cooler (and to ensure I had one working even if one failed) and the 1.5 HP cooler was too big for home use.Supplied pump works great but the wire is short (really???). Hose is also too short. I have to replace the hose with longer ones and move this cooler so it is not exposed to rain.So far happy. Great price too.

Works extremely well
Okay, I did put insulation around the outside of the tank and the bottom. I set the chiller down to 36° which is the lowest setting. And in about an hour and a half on almost 20 gallons it went down to 49. Additionally I'm not using the included water pump, I'm using a filter although it a higher flow submersible filter of about 300gallons per hour. And I'm feeding that into my water outlet to help disperse the water flow. The house temperature is around 73°. This was for a test before we get an axolotl where I plan on having the temperature as low as 62. As you can see it got frosty.Noise quality also is reasonable probably around 50 decibels to 60. I know for you can hear it but not enough where you have to yell over it.The instructions weren't fabulous so yes take the ring for the inlet and outlet and put them on top of the little slots for the ports and then fasten things on down on top of that.Remember that the green cooling light will flash for about 3 minutes before kicks on and really that's about it. Pretty simple

Don’t buy
Worked for 4 days and now no longer gets cold at all. Total junk total waste of money. Buy a higher quality one instead of throwing your money down the toilet

Perfect for DIY cold plunge
Super easy to set up. Works perfect for my 100 gallon feed tank I use for a cold plunge.** still have to add some Ice on hot days but this thing does a great job keeping the temp below 50°**Very happy with this chiller.

Great for Cold Plunge! EDIT: 1Y LATER
Only been running a few days but it has kept my system at 60F quite nicely. I plan to take it to colder temps as I get acclimated to it. My setup is well insulated with rigid foam insulation and spray foam. So unless you have a similar setup, your mileage may vary.EDIT:I've been using it for about a year now and keeping my plunge around 48-52F (This is where I like it)I keep my plunge indoors so the chiller doesn't have to work as hard (ambient 65-75F)I have had nothing but GREAT use out of the chiller. The lowest I've had it was 42F and the house was around 65F at the time.

Good for Cold Plunge
The VEVOR Aquarium Chiller has been a great addition to my cold plunge tub setup. It efficiently cools the water, providing a refreshing experience after workouts or hot days. For its size, it performs admirably, keeping the water at a comfortable temperature. In hotter climates, however, a more powerful unit might be necessary for larger tubs or quicker cooling times. Overall, it's a solid choice for smaller setups and offers a reliable cooling solution

Great INDOOR small chiller
I purchased this for a 150 gal stock tank cold plunge build, and it's ever so slightly too small to fight the FL heat even with an insulated tub. BUT if it was indoor or anywhere but FL this little thing kicks butt. Got my tub down to 49 just couldn't get it any further.

Did not work what so ever
This is suppose to fill water down to at least 50 degree Fahrenheit and is good for 110 g This unit has been running for over 24 hours and started at 88 degrees and now it’s only down to 82 degrees. Don’t be fooled. Will not work for what u want it to do. Says it can chill to 39 degrees. What? After a week of running it
