Our English Bulldog, Squintz, is a a mellow, easy going boy who LOVES to play! Anything that rolls, bounces, or crunches is fair game. However, we gave a 1 and 2 year old as well, and we were having issues with Squintz eating the kids' toys, or trying to get a toy while the kids were holding it. We took him for training and the Dogtra 1900S was required before training began. Through training with the ecollar, it helped tremendously! The only downside was that we wouldn't always have the clicker with us, or we couldn't find where we'd put it in time to give the command right away. When I heard about a new hands-free plus version of the 1900S, I had to try it... and it did not disappoint! The hands-free wristband is perfect for us to always be able to correct Squintz immediately, without needing the clicker in hand. The range for the wristband is stated at 35 feet away from the clicker (I believe), and this seems to be accurate. I like that you can program the wristband for the nick/continuous or the vibration depending on what you use most. I also really like that you can have multiple wristbands so that multiple people have the ability to correct. We would run into issues where my husband or I would be in one room with Squintz, but the clicker was in another room, so we were shouting for the other to get the clicker. With multiple wristbands we both have the ability to correct him if need be. With the our old 1900S, Squintz realized that if we didn't have the clicker in hand, he didn't need to listen. However, with the hands-free mechanism, his listening skills have improved dramatically, because he knows he can be corrected even if he doesn't see the clicker. I would highly recommend this product! It has lived up to our expectations and has really helped to lower the stress level in our household!

The new DogTra 1900S HANDSFREE PLUS is hands-down a game changer! I have been an avid user of DogTra products for two decades. The product features, the quality, and the support from the company has always been top-notch. I have used these products in some of the most extreme conditions and on a weekly basis in ponds, lakes, streams and the mountains. This latest product gives me capabilities that I’ve been wanting for a while now. From active scenarios in the outdoors to exercising the dog at the local park, there are times where I may not see something occurring right away with my highly active German Wire-Haired Pointer, Bodie. This product allows my wife or a family member to have a secondary device to be able to give corrections or recall instructions without having to get my attention first and have me initiate the action via the main controller. Sometimes there’s just not seconds to spare. This new product fills that gap perfectly allowing the hands-free device to be controlled by another person via the hands-free wrist controller and we are able to have a second set of eyes on our dog at all times. Additionally in the back country it’s a lot easier to carry the smaller hands free device rather than wearing the full controller around my neck or on my waist. This product is a worthy investment for any dog lover! Dogtra customer support is umatched! This product is a home run and I give it an A+

We have always trained our dogs with a Dogtra 1900 system. We recently adopted a GSP rescue and needed to add a single E-Collar and there was no question as to the brand to buy. We have a double, older 1900 system, which we use for our other 2 GSP’s.I appreciate the “hands free” option. These old hands aren’t what they used to be so wearing the hands free square around my palm makes it easy and gives me more freedom to give treats along with pets and praise. Dogtra has been a reliable tool in training our dogs throughout the years.

We've had this collar for about 3 months and immediately found out the battery life is horrible. At most we can get 2 days out of the collar and maybe 3 days out of the remote. The collar is an absolute brick, you would think there was enough battery in there to last a month. Contrast this with the much cheaper alternatives on the market that we could go weeks at a time between charges. We bought this collar for the quality and have been disappointed. Sure, its a good collar and hasn't ever had a misfire or no-fire, but what good is that when the battery is dead? We are selling this collar on the used marketplace and going back to the $60 collars.

Really well built the hands free button really makes it a different experience in a positive way! Helps with the smart dogs that pay attention when the remote comes out!
