Inexpensive it feels like it works.
I haven't tried the expensive red and infrared lights but this one feels like it works. I bought one for my daughter and another for my boss. I'm anxious to see if it helps them with sore muscles.Update: after about 6 weeks the power cord quit working. I was able to buy a printer cord that has the same style plug and it has worked every day for 4 months. I wasn't able to use it for 3 days in a row and had some of the worst nights sleep. I have decided that I really like this lamp.

I was a skeptic on "Red Light Therapy"... until I had a foot injury that caused me to limp for over a day.. Finally a friend insisted I try a Red Light device on my foot for just 20 minutes. I so thought I was wasting 20 minutes of my life until I stood up after and the pain was completely gone... I was shocked to be honest... I even refused to believe the red light had anything to do with it... Anyway, used it for the next 3-4 days just 20 mins each and 4 months later, I've had no recurrence, not even a slight twinge.I purchased this unit some months ago and had one grievance, the silly wire hooks that have to hang somewhere... so being a techie, I made a bracket for the unit that attaches to of all things, a Microphone stand (cheap to buy) and no I can angle and place this unit anywhere I want without the aggravation of the 4 wire dangling hook attachment....I've since researched the heck out of Red Light devices and discovered not all of them are alike. This one has 2 different frequency red light LEDs which is ideal. For folks who have "joint" issues, Red Light may not provide much relief as the LED frequency also dictates the depth at which it will penetrate the skin. A friend has a bad knee and needs s knee replacement (cartilage completely worn away), it does nothing in their case and not surprising... bone against bone pain!!! However, if you have an aching muscle or bruise then it is likely to work quite well. It's not a panacea for all problems but there is also one surprising find... it will also help regrow hair!!! Yup, I've been using it for 6 months on a head that had given up on wanting hair to grow... ROFL.. so as a test I tried it. After 6 months, I have clear obvious signs of hair regrowth HOWEVER in my case Baldilocks ain't getting a full head of hair back under any circumstance LOL... But if you have thinning hair, you might be surprised by the result. Twice a day for 20 minutes each. Laugh all you want... I know of others who bought red light and tried this and found it worked for them.. I also found a report from a manufacturer telling ladies to be careful of using on their legs because as a side effect, it WILL regrow hair...

Great product
I'm really happy with the lamp. I read the reviews before buying and I want to say that the material doesn't feel flimsy. I think the front part is thin aluminum or plastic, but sturdy enough even for me to sit on it (I'm about 113 lb) and the back side is sturdy plastic. It warms me up like a heating pad, I'm only hoping that it emits less EMF than a regular heating pad, but at least here I have the red light therapy benefit. And I'm also hoping that it actually has infrared light there, but I heard that even regular LED red light is already therapeutic. One thing I would change about this specific product is the length of the cord, it's decent, but on a shorter side.

I'm experimenting with this for cell mitochondria efficiency.
I'm giving this four stars for its intended use. However, this review is for my use. After seeing a You Tube MedCram lecture on red and near-infrared light and how it may interact with mitochondria, I found this inexpensive panel to experiment with. [Do not do this at your home:] I wanted to illuminate my whole body, and therefore installed it in my shower, thereby violating various electrical rules and common sense. I mitigated risks, e.g. my shower is in a bathtub so the panel is well away from splashing water, aiming the shower head lower, mounting the display high, keeping the power switch outside the tub and near the curtain rod, connecting the switched wire to the powered house wire (unpolarized plug), and plugging things into a GFCI.So far, I'm not convinced it's doing anything, but I seem to look forward to showers more and spend more time in the shower. I'm also not convinced the IR side is working as the panel is drawing 22 watts instead of the claimed 45 watts. I think all my imaging devices have IR blocking filters so it's hard to test. I may fully disassemble things to explore further, or I may buy a second unit to test. The suction cup mount was intended to hold iphones, but I replaced its magnets with screws later, the panel provides too much leverage to securely hold it.

Red light therapy at home
The media could not be loaded. This red light box is great. Easy to use and you can use it all over your body. I use it on my face, my neck, my back and my stomach. This is very relaxing and the light is warm on your body. Wonderful health benefits.

Waste of money
cheaply made. Did not relieve any pain nor help sleep quality. Died with minimal use in a month.

Not as powerful as advertised
First of all, I'll say that I'm skeptical that red light therapy even does what is claimed. I don't know much about the science behind the red visible light. But I've seen a lot more evidence on the "near infrared light" having benefits -- which is why I bought this device. It's hard to confirm that the near infrared is active. But taking a direct photo of the LED array with my phone, I can see a dim light coming from those LEDs. This is all I really have to go on that the near infrared lights are actually active.Testing with a power meter, this light pulls 22 watts from the wall, not the claimed 45 watts.

Works great
It’s awesome. I love it. Extremely lightweight yet heavy duty I bought four of them.
