Nearly finished the game, got it for christmas and loved the first game and the Miles Morales one too, was cool getting to play as both in this game and you can switch between them to play as whoever you wantAs always the graphics and gameplay are really good too, the webswinging especially is brilliant, with the addition of Web Wings this time, so you can legit glide through the skies like Batman!Highly recommend!

Excellent game , excellent graphics

Overall, I really enjoyed Spider-Man 2. The main storyline, though meandering, does come to a satisfying narrative conclusion. Like in the first Spider-Man game the emphasis is on the relationship between characters rather than some mysterious external baddie (the MCU could learn from this I think). The dialogue could be clunky and over-wrought (though there are some good quipy spiderman zingers from time to time), but it's still a fun story with good emotional character beats. The relationships between Peter and Miles, Peter and Harry and Peter and MJ were all fleshed out well throughout the course of the game.The fighting mechanics are as good as they are in previous games, with only minor tweaks to the formula from Spider-Man 1 and Spider-Man Miles Morales. The combination of special moves, gadgets parrying dodging and finishing moves makes for a fun combat experience that flows well. The range of baddies is not huge (maybe 20 or so different stock goon types)) but it's still satisfying to watch.New York is as gorgeous as ever but it's a really familiar landscape now after two games and a bunch of DLC. Maybe they could take a field trip to Tokyo next time?The only major complaint and why it gets four stars is that nearly all of the side missions were dull and repetitive. Each one was some variation of fetch A and/or fight B. I completed the game 100% out of stubbornness rather than enjoyment of the content. Some of the story side quests, like the ones involving the flame cult felt like a distraction. The stealth sections with MJ were laughably bad in some places. Evidently trained hunters can't hear someone sneaking up behind them in jeans. But then they can't seem to look up and Spiderman either. Energy AI is just generally weak throughout to the point that it distracts from the fludity of the action.If you're gonna buy the game, I would just play it for the main storyline and skip all the side bits as they're mostly a waste of time.

The game is intense and keeps your interest from start to finish. It is even more polished when compared to the previous two in the series and improves the experience in several ways. It is most definitely is worth your time.
