great quality, perfect for rice with calamari and to make black fresh pasta

We plan to make a paella Negra for next friends gathering but we have to make it perfect so we can cook it at our friends house. I believe 1 packet will definitely use for paella Negra. If you're going to eat outside it will cost you $45 or more in the restaurant with less seafood on it. We like to ourselves with plenty of seafood.

I bought this for cocktail creation purposes, and it definitely made my drinks black. However I could not give it 5 stars because 1) it left an oily sheen on top of the drinks, and 2) it smelled a little too… musky. I bartend in a gentlemen’s club and was not sure that was the best choice. Be warned.

Bought this to make homemade pasta. Will not buy again. The powder from other sellers actually works and turns the pasta black. Used 2 packs and it came out gray and not mixed very well, had to trash the whole batch. cheap and has more ingredients than powder options available. Do not recommend.

I use this primarily as a colorant for decorative icing and it's amazing - no bad taste or odor and offers a pure black without any flecks of white or gray. You can't get a black this rich or deep with baking colorants.It's excellent for pasta as well, and because it has no odor or heavy taste it's also an excellent colorant for this purpose.I love that it's contained in packets so that you don't lose the freshness normally lost when packaged in a bottle or jar. It's an excellent way of ensuring you're using exactly the right amount for your recipe and also ensures there's no waste.

This all natural food dye works great. Definitely fun for playing with colored foods.
