Up front, I was surprised in the quality of the shirt. This is the real deal. I have friends in the Navy and this is the same thickness as their uniform shirts. A note on sizing: I'm a medium build 6'1" guy and the XXL fits well, so go a size or two up. Plus, let's be honest, if it's a little baggy, that's ok, but you don't want it too tight, so size up.The hat has a plastic visor and cloth everything else. In the back is a convenient sizing option that fits my very small head and would easily fit an enormous head.The pipe looks fantastic and is borderline useable. I own a real pipe and this looks and feels real. I'm not going to recommend stuffing it with tobacco and lighting up, however, I've seen real pipes made of cheaper material, so maybe it is real. Use at your own discretion.The sunglasses are exactly as pictured: aviator-type sunglasses that run on the small side. Again, I have a small/narrow head and they fit very well. A wider head might have some difficulty with these.Overall, this is a 10/10 for the price. I'm sure you can spend a lot more time and money looking for something better, but this is great for weekends on the sea or even road trips. I plan on wearing this in the backyard as I mow the lawn. "Attention, please. This is your Captain speaking!"

For the price you get a lot of items and the quality is pretty darn good. Worked out perfectly for a play we were doing as a fundraiser. I do recommend, just note the shirt ran a tad small but worked. Definitely worth the money, and shipped quickly.

great costume for a Yacht party golf event. The hat fits well, and the shirt is of good "stiff" material that looks official. Great price for all of the pieces that come with it.

I can't say enough good about this costume for the money. For Halloween, my husband and I went out as a sailor and mermaid. This is the costume he wore, paired with a pair of black shorts. He typically wears a size large, but after reading the reviews, I sized up and ordered him the size X large, and that fit him perfectly. The shirt is of decent quality, was wrinkle free after I threw it in the dryer for a bit. I love the added accessories: epaulet, hat, sunglasses, chest badge, and pipe prop. For the money, this was an excellent costume.

The captain's shirt is very short, but the sleeves are the right size—very weird dimensions. The hat fits large. The sunglasses are what you would expect at this price—basically disposable.

Perfect, funny gift for new boat owners!

I went based on the size recommended, but it’s too small, luckily I bought it early enough. Doesn’t button all the way. I typically wear a large and maybe xl so I went with xl just to be safe and it still was too small. Too bad I didn’t read the description first that said “if you’re fat size up” I wouldn’t have bought it at all. Will be returning.
