Goody's Pain Relief Powders, Extra Strength Headache Powder, 50 ct (Pack of 1)

This is the best stuff we've tried for headache relief. Works fast and works well. Tastes awful but who cares if it works?My only complaint is the packaging. They changed it. It used to be a folded paper that was sort of the shape of a tiny envelope. You just unfolded it, poured it on your tongue, wash it down with a full glass of water. The bitter taste doesn't linger so just go for it, lol. But recently they changed their little envelopes to sealed bags of the stuff, so now you have to pay attention to where it is inside the bag before you rip it open and accidentally have it flying all over. Also, it doesn't help that you're trying to do this quickly because of the taste, but now you're struggling to shake that bag to get the contents onto your tongue instead of just dumping it on your tongue quickly like you used to be able to, thus increasing your chances of inhaling the powder, which is NOT pleasant one bit, definitely would not recommend! So you can see why the old packaging is much preferred and I really wish they would bring it back... Or offer both versions so customers can choose. I would always choose the envelopes.But still I go thru the hassle of dealing with the annoying little bags because the stuff really does work that well. It's the same ingredients but somehow works better than Excedrin, and it's faster because your stomach/ intestines doesn't have to dissolve a whole pill, it's all ready to be absorbed as a powder. I have found Goodys so effective, in fact, that I only need one to take care of a headache, rather than taking 2 Excedrin, so it's cost effective as well.10/10 highly recommend if you get headaches

My daughter and I have been using this product for a bit now my daughter loves it she uses it faithfully and won't go back to pills and I also rely on my powder always great product and great poetics I would recommend to anyone. Also relived head acke body ache etc....

Works fast

Headache powders are becoming popular, so far i have tried goody powders and bc powders, they both work but I really don't want the extra caffeine that bc has in it, bc 65 mgs and goody's 32 mgs, I have been using goody powders for years and nothing I have tried has come close to the relief that goody powder give me for my headache's, they are the best!!

I forgot who told me about this product, but I've been using it since I've reached adulthood (over 15 years ago). I used to use the cousin product (BC Aspirin Fast Pain Relief Powder, 50 Count), but found Goody's worked better. The difference between the two is that Goody's has Acetaminophen (Tylenol) and a lower dosage of aspirin (520mg vs 845mg).The reason I switched is because of a certain backstory.... I've only had a migraine headache one time in my life so far and that was about a year ago. I can tell you that it hurt so bad, it literally disabled me for hours. I could not stand up/sit up without falling down. I laid down in the fetal position for several hours. After taking an initial dose of Tylenol alone, it did nothing to relieve the pain. Then my aunt-in-law gave me some Excedrin Migraine. I never heard of the stuff at the time but knew that my relatives (mainly women) have used it before. After taking it, I was better within an hour. Excedrin Migraine is considered a first-line therapy in the treatment of migraine headaches. It is so effective, it is comparable to low doses of Sumatriptan, a prescription drug used for migraines.The active ingredients for Goody's powder is almost identical to that of Excedrin Migraine.Goody's:Acetaminophen - 260mgAspirin - 520mgCaffeine - 32.5mgExcedrin Migraine:Acetaminophen - 250mgAspirin - 250mgCaffeine - 65mgWhen you compare the two, Goody's has slightly MORE pain relieving drug with about half as much caffeine. Although caffeine typically has a negative connotation to it, it is especially useful in relieving headaches. Pharmaceutical studies have shown that when caffeine is added into prescription & OTC headache medications, it can make pain relievers 40% more effective as well as helping the absorption of these medications. So technically, you can take LESS medication with caffeine, which is why I assume Excedrin Migraine has more caffeine and less aspirin/acetaminophen.With all that scientific mumbo jumbo, now you are wiser! The fact that Goody's has all the nice things that Excedrin Migraine has PLUS it's in a powder form means it's absorbed & starts working quicker than Excedrin Migraine. Although it does have less caffeine, I always drink a Coke or a caffeinated beverage whenever I take headache medicine. Coca-Cola has 39mg of caffeine, so when taken w/ Goody's, it essentially puts the caffeine level at 71.5mg. While more isn't necessarily always better, I can guarantee you that my Coca-Cola/Goody's combo destroys any headache that you'll ever have in a relatively short amount of time.

I tried this first under my tongue to dissolve and then in a small cup of juice. Mixing it in my drink (small amount of fluid) was definitely the better way to go due to taste, but wow. It works so fast and well. I was not expecting it to help so much and couldn't believe how fast it hit. I am post-op, this is exactly what I needed. They're also so perfect to throw in your belt bag or small purse, they are just little packets so you can take them anywhere.

Perfect medicine for my head

This seems to work faster than the traditional tablets. Maybe because it's in powder form? Works great but my recommendation is to have a chaser of some kind because the taste is horrible. Will I purchase this again? Yup!
