Comfort grips are a big improvement.
Excellent pair of pliers, well-made and the chrome finish is good for rust prevention. I particularly like the new three component handle grips. To me they provide a more comfortable grip as opposed to the older type.

One of the best brand of Pliers but on Premier price too.
I bought two of these Pliers as I don't really need long nose one but I must say that they are a bit expensive for what they are. I bought it to see what the fuss is about but apart from being used by professionals who are recognised as pro by the tools, is the probably the reason for cost. Yes they are very well built and they will last a long time etc. I am an experience DIY person and have got other Pliers that do the job in half the price.If you don't have any Pliers and are apprentice in Electric etc then these could be your best choice as they will last a long time but a DIY person like me who will only use occasionally, you don't need to buy the most expensive set. Apart from that, yes these look nice, very effective in cutting wire and other materials, size fits my hand well and they are easy to use with nice grip.

Knipex pliers, best I've ever used
I had a pair since 2001, still going strong till the wife put them away, now I have 2 pairs.... The ones she put away safe that I'll find some day, 5 years,10 who knows but if these new ones are of exactly the same build quality as before then I'm happy out as they just cut with ease and the striping of cables to terminate is also a dream as they just do exactly what you want.Was very surprised at price too as I paid much more back in 2001.

Excellent sturdy pliers
Not too sure about the bubble wrap packaging that they arrived in. Considering the price of these pilers is considerably more than I wanted to pay, I'd have appreciated a box. Having said that the bubble wrap pocket is perfectly adequate protection. Yet more single use plastic heading to landfill. The pliers seem nice in the hand, reassuringly heavy. Though a quick scrutiny reveals that the jaws don't meet there's a tiny gap probably marginally less than a sheet of paper. The cutting edges on the other hand do meet perfectly. Looking forward to using them and adding to my increasing Knipex collection.
