Took about 3 hours to assemble on my own, but I am so happy with how it turned out. It’s so much prettier than the traditional plastic sandboxes and I love the canopy! The kids love the little benches on it and I love how it can close when they are not using.

Easy to put together

Let’s put it this way, if you have the skillset to assemble this thing then you have the skillset to go buy some simple dimensional lumber and build your own sandbox that will be 10X stronger and easier to open and close. This thing was a pain to put together, cheap material, and terrible to “open” and “close”.Save your money and buy the green turtle box that we all know and love.

Wood is cheap and thin. The benches bow under the weight of a small 3 year old. We've had it less than a month and the umbrella poles are already splintered and warped. Great idea, but poor quality.

Cute but there were only a few places that had a few precut holes for the screws to go into. If that didn’t make it hard enough to put together by one persons alone; there weren’t enough thin long screws(F) that were in the kit. We are now having to go buy more parts just to build this together.The reason I gave it so many stars, is because it is made with real wood, not plastic and it’s really cute. My grand-mini will enjoy this sandbox for sure.

Building it took a bit of knowledge, but we managed in 2 hrs. The wood feels strong and stands up to daily play. We got 5 bags of 50lb sand, filling it to a comfy height for our son. Surprisingly, it could fit 3 more bags easily, yet with 5 bags, it's far from empty. Totally satisfied with this purchase!
