Been using this glue for years now......Read further...
This stuff is all-around an awesome product, with some extra work. You have to heat both surfaces of wood before trying to use this stuff. Too much humidity makes the bond-curing stage worthless, and the joint will fail. Sometimes I've gotten cartridges that were obviously too old, broke the plunger on the Steinel hot melt gun because the inner part of the tube was glued solid and wouldn't push in. This is a Hot-Melt Polyurethane glue fortified with some heavy duty super glue (cyanoAcrylate) and i believe thats the problem there: the minute air gap between the inner part of the cap and the tip of the cartridge is definitely the culprit. You have to be quick to cap it, the Super glue element in it will cure really fast if its warm in your shop which will aid in clogging the tip. I think the tip of the cartridge hardens to a point where even with enough pressure to break the plunger on the glue gun, it won't move, it'll make the whole cartridge worthless if you cant use it. This has happened many times, with either the 60 second made by InfinityBond or 30 second made by Franklin Intl. And that means $$ wasted at $14 per cartridge WITHOUT shipping. I give it 5 stars for its overall performance and ease of use in comparison to other woodworking glues out there. DO not try to use the red labelled Hot-melt glue with wood, completely worthless bond. So, when you see how fast and how incredibly strong the bond is (almost 100 psi stronger than Titebond III) it doesnt take a genius to see the HUGE advantage this stuff has over any other glue. Almost no waste compared to regular glue (other than a cartridge thats seed-up). The guns are expensive, the glue is expensive for the amount you get (50 Grams it says). Overall expensive. But worth it.

Also suitable for bookbinding
I am using this product for bookbinding. Although there are other professional and expensive options for bookbinding with PUR glue, the most affordable solution for individuals is Infinity Bond for now. This adhesive has strong bonding properties, and even when applied thinly(thinner is better for avoiding cracking), pages do not come off, making it an ideal choice for Perfect Binding and other paperback bookbindings. However, I felt there was a need for improvement in terms of usability. Instead of adhesive coming out only when pulling the trigger, the mechanism advances the plunger by about 10 millimetres with each stroke, causing a continuous flow of unintentional amounts. As a result, more adhesive than necessary can come out, leading to wastage. I believe it wouldn't be difficult for the manufacturer to implement a mechanism that allows for incremental movement of the plunger.
