My living room is narrow and above the fireplace was the only logical spot to mount my tv. The mantle mount was the best solution for this problem. The unit is heavy and sturdy. Once installed, it is very easy to use. I no longer have a kink in my neck trying to watch movies. Installation took a couple hours. Make sure you bolt this into the studs due to weight of the device and tv. Its fun to use, the family loves it. Recommended for sure.

Amazing mantle mount. We got one for our fireplace as we have a vent on the top just behind the tv. This piece just did the job perfectly. Only issue is the stickies that it comes with are not that great. And the back pieces often comes out. I need to find heavy duty stickies to get the switchboard in place. Otherwise 5 stars. I have already got a bunch of my friends to buy it.

The media could not be loaded. Works great! Raises and lowers the TV smoothly. Installation instructions are very good and installation was easy. Well worth the $$$!

We debated getting a manual one or motorized, but this is so cool and given that it's our main TV, this was definitely the way to go. My only feedback to MantelMount: 1) Add a section in the instructions for people who are installing the electrical outlet at the same time, providing advice on where to position it. Without knowing, I positioned it right at the center of the mount, exactly where they say not to put it, but because it was a recessed outlet it worked out perfectly. 2) After installing, I couldn’t get the remote to make the mount move. I tried everything. I almost called in to report a defective mount, and then realized my silly mistake: I wasn’t inserting the battery correctly in the remote control. It has to go under the metal tab. I would modify the design of the remote such that the battery can’t be inserted incorrectly.

The media could not be loaded. I did a lot of searching around for a mount that would work with my 86 inch TV. I have to say I am very impressed with this product. I do think it's somewhat overpriced, but it works perfectly. If you have a television that's mounted over a fireplace, this product really solves the issue of having to watch tv with your neck bent and your head up.

Paid like $750 for this unit and it often stops. The remote control will stop right in the middle and I have to repress it again multiple times to get it to sink all the way down or up or shift left or right it’s just very sporadic. I’m dissatisfied. I think the concept is really cool. Just not happy with the performance.
