Just what my windows needed!
To be honest, I was very skeptical about putting this film on my windows. I previously had 1” shutters on the lower half of this 3 window set. They had yellowed in places over the years, had broken pieces, were hard to keep clean, and constantly allowed bugs and cobwebs to collect behind them. The shutter brackets also prevented me from being able to use the tilt sash feature on the windows which was aggravating. I knew I needed to get something else on these windows!!This product was extremely durable and easy to work with. After the first window, the process was a breeze. I recommend doing your most inconspicuous window first to work out any issues. My biggest issue was that I didn’t have a super sharp utility blade to cut the excess. I fixed that before I proceeded to the next window, and things went much smoother.I love that this application gives me the privacy that is needed, yet allows enough light for my plants. I think it looks cleaner, more contemporary, and opens up the area without having those busy, clumsy shutters there. And let’s be honest…..this is a heck of a lot cheaper than other window coverings. I also like that this is not permanent. Once dried it is very secure though. Time will tell how it withstands cleaning etc. All in all, this is a WIN WIN for me!Just for FYI: I used the ‘frosted’ film. It was the right choice for me. I think the white would have been too opaque and I didn’t want the busy-ness of the design ones

Super helpful
I tried following the directions... BUT then I decided to do it my way. So, in case it helps- I spread out the roll on the table and taped it down so it could flatten and hopefully not roll up as soon as I untaped it. Then I took cheap terrible colored construction paper no one had used for years and taped it onto the strange- shaped windows (not a lot of straight lines on these) and after I had a very colorful window I took that stencil and put it on top of the unrolled window frost and used a pencil to trace on it. Then I cut it to size. I think it worked better that way. But of course, to each their own. After we had it on the window, following directions on cleaning the window first and all that, there were a few bubbles showing along edges, and a few spots of not sticking on the very edges. But really, not bad considering it was a roll so it curled a bit. Maybe I should have kept it taped to the table longer first. Even on spots where it didn't stick, it didn't curl all the way off, you can just tell the edges aren't stuck to the window all the way. Now, from the outside, at night you can tell lights are on, maybe see shadow of fan/light, but no details of in the house, the frost works. Another plus is not getting the glaring sun in the morning, it was pretty severe, now much better.

Room cooling film!
The primary benefit of mirror film is the increased privacy it offers. During daylight, the reflective surface ensures that people outside cannot see in, while you can still enjoy the view from inside. It’s perfect for cooling rooms that get a lot of sun.The film effectively reduces the amount of heat entering through the windows by reflecting a significant portion of sunlight. This can lead to a cooler indoor environment and reduced air conditioning costs, making it both comfortable and energy-efficient. The mirror film blocks harmful UV rays, protecting your skin and preventing furniture, flooring, and artwork from fading. This prolongs the life of your interior furnishings. The sleek, modern look of mirror film can enhance the exterior appearance of your home or office building. It provides a polished, uniform look to the windows. The film actually made our windows look slightly blacked out which I thought was pretty cool.By reflecting sunlight, the film helps reduce glare inside the room, making it easier to watch TV, work on a computer, or read without straining your eyes. It has helped tremendously with the glare on the tv from the window. This alone is worth it.The installation is easy enough, but not very forgiving. If you make a mistake and the film folds and you are stuck with the crease. This is the one think I wish was better. The mirror effect reverses at night when lights are on inside, potentially compromising privacy. Additional window coverings may be needed for complete nighttime privacy. This is normally what most people dislike about the film. I, however, don't mind it at all because I still use blinds and curtains for additional privacy.Hope this helps!! I will post a photo and update soon!

Great solar window film
I got this roll of window film to reduce the heat coming in my west-facing windows beginning in the afternoon until dark. I’m very pleased with the results. The first pane took me a while to measure, cut, and install the film, but having done one, install on the other three went quickly. Here’s a hint - don’t be afraid to spray lots of soapy water on the glass and on the film - it makes it much easier to slide the edges of the cut piece into position, and then once you’ve got it where you want it, hold it with one hand and squeegee the soapy water out and it’s stuck on the glass.Check out the difference in intensity of light coming inside in my side by side, before and after, photo. This is a great product and I hope to even see some reduction in my electric bill during summer air conditioning season.I would buy this again. I also wish I’d installed this on the windows of my toy-hauler camper trailer. Even though the blinds were down the sun rotted the top fabric on the seat cushions.

Difficult to cut in a straight line and seperating the backing was difficult
All you have here is a clear sheet of plastic. I tried cutting it with a razor and ruler, but the blade kept wandering. I tried drawing lines to follow, it turns out I was drawing on the site you put up on the window, I didn't know that until I separated the backing and then I could tell the difference. As for separating the backing, what a pain that was. I ended up purchasing a Gorilla product, it had lines that made cutting easier and made it clear which side was the backing, plus with Gorilla, separating the backing was far easier.
