No taste
Very old and dried out and completely tasteless. No sour cream and onion flavor. Basically like eating a piece of notebook paper.

Gag Gift
Made into a competition to see which Girl Scout would eat a bug. I did not try them, but my 9 yr old told me they didnt taste very much like scour cream and onion 🤷‍♀️ made ofor good entertainment tho!!

Fun gag, gift or a fun game challenge for kids
It was funny to watch my kids ages 8 and 10 eat them as a “”challenge ””

My kids and I laid the contents of the package out and had fun eating it
I bought this in order to make my total purchase eligible for free shipping. My kids and I laid the contents of the package out and had fun eating it! It had an earthy and nutty flavour. Would recommend it to anyone who would dare venture - hop to it!

Overpriced; stale flavor
There were only 6 crickets in the package. The flavoring was also minimal (no discernible sour cream & onion taste) and had the kind of aftertaste I associate with tree nuts that have gone rancid. They really tasted as though though they had been stored in a warehouse for years and the flavoring had gone bad. For $1.33 per cricket, I expected something better.

Interesting
I admit that I had to overcome a strong cultural bias against eating this kind of product. (I still haven't eaten this while looking at it. I have crushed it and eaten the fragments. Still working my way through the cultural revulsion of knowingly eating an insect.) However, when trying it, it tasted somewhat like sunflower seeds. It was crunchy without any gooey and unpalatable organ splatter. It is pleasant and worth the try if you can overcome your squeamishness about eating an insect.
