Wow, worth the money.
I dont leave many reviews, but thought I would on this occasion. I have a 1Gig broadband connection. PC is located upstairs bedroom furthest room away from the router downstairs. I used a cheap £7-10 usb wifi dongle that would have slow speeds - 10-25Mb and network drop outs quite often. So I decided to use Powerline adapters instead which I had success with in the past. This was more stable but speeds slow 20-30Mbs max. I needed something faster but wasnt holding much hope when purchasing this TPlink Wifi Adapter but wow it is fantastic. I now have 400Mb upstairs via wifi. Comes with the dongle and a dock if needed and uses USB 3 for faster PC connectivity. Very impressed so far.

Works for almost everything except downloads
Used this as a temporary solution for my PC's wi-fi as my wifi card was faulty. This does work and the internet speed is good, but when it comes to downloading files of a certain size, like a few GBs or more it tends to fail or disconnect for a few seconds. If not for that this works fine for streaming and browsing.

Works a charm and easy setup
I have very thick walls so my computer was struggling to get a good signal. But this thing boosted my speeds from 12/30mbps to what I am paying for which is 200/300mbps. Only thing is I wish the cable was a bit longer. Very reliable no sudden disconnects. And set up is very easy.

DO NOT BUY
After less than 2 hours of having this dongle plugged into my PC, it started disconnecting and reconnecting itself to my PC. Trying to troubleshoot this has caused my computer to stop recognising new devices being plugged in via USB on any port, including itself. The quality of the product is terrible, it feels flimsy on the antenna, as if I shook it too hard, it'd break. It is a worthless device, probably pure profit for TP-Link.Another issue I took with it was that for it to talk to Windows, I had to install a driver, which although doesn't sound bad, Windows has generic drivers that usually work very well with these. When trying to turn my PC off, it did not turn off, it was stuck saying "Shutting down" until I forced it off. Unplugging the dongle from my PC during this didn't help either.TL;DR, Do not buy. It is a waste of money. It will screw up your computer if you look at it funny.

Easy to set up and definitely improves reception.
Bought this for my son (who is a gamer) to replace the wireless receiver that came with his PC. The unit is plug and play, so there is no setting up to do, and it significantly improved the quality of his signal, so much so, that he's stopped bleating at me. Which was worth the money on it's own!!

Seems good and fast
Seems good, I read reviews saying you needed WiFi to download drives i already had a WiFi i wanted to upgrade coz im in yhr attic and gaming with friends can be hard i think its good? I mean its obviously improved the speed as you can see from the before and after but ive not actually done much except Google stuff hah

will not penetrate thick walls better than any phone or laptop built in wifi
works fine but signal strength and speed same or worse than laptop built in wifi

Not Great
I got good speeds with this stick and the signal distance was actually quite good - better than anything else i tried and I purchased about £200 worth of tech to try.My issue with this product is for some reason it just wouldn't stop disconnecting at random intervals. In the dock, out the dock, it didn't matter it would just turn itself off.I don't think it was fault cause these disconnects were random and only lasted a few seconds. I've also seen other reviews mention it.I returned this product and got a wifi extender which I then plugged in via ethernet. This has been the best solution.
