Brilliant, albeit loud
My background / fidget needI've not been diagnosed with any autism or similar, though I have many similar tendencies including extreme sensitivity to sound and some textures. For over 20 years (since I was a small kid), I've turned the pages of a book as I was reading. It was the only thing that really made the reading stick in my brain. Reading without this kind of fidgeting just wouldn't register for me.I read a lot. Probably more than most. Every book that I've read has these excessively worn corners from my page turning, AND it creates a tremendous amount of paper dust that has actually ruined some of my keyboards. The paper dust also just creates this tremendous mess which I cannot stand. Thus, I finally decided to try and replace the page turning with something that had different / fewer downsides. My experience with alternativesFidget spinners make zero sense to me. I guess you push a button, and the kinetics are driven by a battery. Nope.I've used the Antsy Labs Fidget Cube, and I generally like it. It's quiet enough for use in meetings at work. However, I finally figured out that I need to better simulate the actual finger movements I was doing (which is basically rubbing something between thumb and index fingers repeatedly). The Fidget Cube doesn't really suit this need, so it's not an ideal solution. My experience with this productAllows me to perform similar finger movements that I do when turning pages. For this reason, I've taken to this fidget toy much better than with the Fidget Cube. The magnets work well, hand stress/tiring is minimal, and the item performs its advertised actions well.It seems like it's got decent quality, though it strikes me as pricey for what it is. It makes sense for me, because it's so a close alternative to my kind of fidgeting which would otherwise be ruining books and creating a mess. Your mileage may vary. The only drawback is how loud it is (If anyone knows of a quieter one of these, please let me know in the questions section!!).This will probably be obnoxious to coworkers in an open office (if they're within 10-15 feet of you) and it is too loud for meetings. You don't want to be "that guy (or girl)".So for now, I use this item when I'm alone and in the Fidget Cube in quieter spaces.Considering a spinner ring for quiet. We'll see...

I can't put it down!
Really happy with this slider so far! Slides nice and smooth without causing any hand fatigue and the magnets have a really addictive feel and sound feedback. It is a bit noisy, but not as loud as others I've tried. The version with the metal cut out design on top comes with a tool and rubber pieces that you can make it quieter if you prefer. I can't believe how many people there are here complaining about it being noisy when they could change that if they paid even a small amount of attention. It's made with a really good design putting the more powerful magnets on the corners which allows the halves to make quick snappy turns without coming apart. There is a slight design flaw IMO, with the ones that have the cut out design on top. The smooth nameplate area is right in the center where your thumb pad goes, sometimes making it difficult to break the magnets hold because there's no texture to get a grip. I also bought one of the red "fiber lid" ones and it is much easier to get a grip and slide. Though keep in mind that version can't be made quiet like the others can. I can't comment on the durability yet as I have only had it a few days, but so far so good. Aside from the minor grip issue with the one version, this fidget slider is fantastic! I haven't been able to put it down since I got it!Edit: In my opinion, at least with the carbon fiber version, it works better if you remove the tape. It takes a little time of each side rubbing together to wear in, but once it does it's much better. It still slides smoothly but the magnets hold much better. Occasionally it may start sticking from oils or sweat on your hands but just needs wiped off if it does.

Lovely slider with pleasant feel
I've owned quite a few fidget sliders, and this one is definitely a new favorite. A big problem with sliders is how easy it is to accidentally drop one half of the slider. This one staggers small and large magnets in a way that makes it easier to slide and pivot on the end magnets without it coming apart. It's a good tension as well, with the smaller center magnets making it easier to slide than some sliders I have and reducing fatigue. It works so well that I may try replacing the center magnets in some of my other sliders with smaller magnets to see if it makes them better, too.The feel of the materials is quite nice, grippy without feeling like sandpaper. It's got good heft and the clack of the materials is pleasant without being too loud.It comes unmuted, with a sound almost like crinkling paper. It's pleasant but too loud for an office setting, so I installed the included mutes and now all you can hear is the soft woodlike clack of the slider itself.Overall I'm quite pleased with this; it's hard to put down, and I can think of no higher praise for a fidget.

Strong magnets but far from overbearing! Clicks, snaps, and glides great!
The media could not be loaded. It’s a very smooth fidget slider. Made very well the haptics and sound are crispy and crackly. Very satisfying. Doesn’t take much practice like some to get I to move in a soothing matter! I give it 4 stars only because I thought it would be a bit heavier but it is fiber glass as stated. Overall great purchase for the collection
