Great option vs. drilling into tiles
I have a bad left knee and am awaiting surgery to replace. With that, my stability and balance has been off as I favor to my right (already replaced knee). I was having issues showering and not falling. These bars have helped my feel more comfortable while in the shower. Installation is a breeze (although no instructions). The bars fit on standard 4" tiles without issue. Initially we had issue with 2 of the bars losing suction on one end, but figured out the tile needed to be clean and dry before applying. Since then, they have been rock solid.

These are lifesavers and super helpful!
These things are lifesavers! I’m having knee replacement surgery next week and these non-permanent shower bars have saved me from falling repeatedly. They were easy to install and I’m looking forward to healing enough to remove them, or maybe not. Great for shaving your legs in an old school shower without a seat. My healthy husband says they’re handy for getting out of the shower too.

Beware NOT SAFE even for balance !
My sister bought these for our 92 year old mom that she and I cared for. I decided shortly after her purchase to get myself some. During the last year I have had them, they have fallen off repeatedly (at least 5 times). My shower surface was new at install, super clean, is slick, no bumps and I installed them to specs. Never-the-less each one has failed. I am talking - using them only as balance bar... not weight bearing. They loose their grip and, in my opinion, are NOT SAFE! I wanted really badly to have found a solution to not having to drill and install permanent ones... but, sadly, these are NOT them. BEWARE. If I could return them, I would. However, the time for that has past. Just wanted to spare someone some unwanted drama that could be bad.

Works Great
I normally do not purchase items with so few ratings. However, after reading the description and the price as well as knowing if they are not what they say I can return them through Amazon. I am extremely satisfied with these. I like the feel of the handle, easy to drip and to hold onto. Quick and easy to install, solid attachment, no wiggle. Extremely sturdy, I weigh 220 lbs. and after attaching to my shower wall I pulled them, tried to shake them, pulled down on them, very sturdy. Yes, I would recommend these. Just make sure before buying you know they will not stick to painted walls, in the description it clearly tells you what surface they can be used on. Make sure the surface is cleaned and dried before installing.Followup, after having these up for a few weeks I went to relocate one of them. It is true what they say, the longer they are up the stronger they become. This is exactly what happened. It is nice to know if I fall and grab on, it is not going to pull off. I am a 220 lbs. man, Again, I highly recommend, and make sure they are where you want them, moving them later will be a little challenging.

Excellent grab bar, but renew the suction
I love this grab bar, but note that the vacuum doesn't last forever. For that reason, I renew the suction every time I step into the shower. I use this bar for balance when I pirouette under the water with my eyes closed to rinse the soap off. I don't put full weight on it, even though I could -- it's strong enough to hold an elephant when the suction is "new". After a few days, though, the grip weakens, possibly because the ceramic tile is not perfectly smooth. I thought I was going to have to drill into the tile to mount a safety bar, but this product does the job just fine with no hassle.
