The case does its job keeping the temperatures down. And it looks awesome.

I love this rear shell! The transparent purple color is so cool and the quality seems really solid (at time of review I’ve been using my deck heavily for a few months and no issues). The fit is great for me.The installation is very straight forward, even for beginners. Just be patient and gentle when removing the back screws! 10/10 I love this shell

Can’t see the issues others have had with it on mine. The buttons work well, and the case fits nice and snug. It does say you can warm the pad to get it snugger, I just put it on and played a high gfx game for a bit then tightened the screws a little more.Never understood why valve chose to cover the fan on the deck, but that and the pad on this have dropped my temps anywhere from 5-10c on the gpu/cpu.Anyone who knows anything about computers should be aware air flow is important!Obviously doesn’t give any noticeable performance boosts, but the lowered temps should easily prolong the life of the device, and it uses less power (and runs quieter) now that it doesn’t have to ramp the fan all the time.

I really liked a lot about this product - it looks good, I think it helps with heat dissipation (though I didn't check the temperature), and I really like one of the back buttons sets (makes the pressing a lot easier). also, you get a really inclusive package with everything needed for the installation (though the screwdriver provided is not ideal for the screws on the Steamdeck and can get them stripped). however, I can't give it a higher review because the back plate jams my right trigger a bit, so its motion isn't smooth when i press it. I tried sanding that area of the back plate, but it didn't help (might try a dremmel someday). it's not interfering with my gaming experience all that much, but it is a bummer. all in all - good product, but can be annoying if you're petty about those kind of stuff (I kinda got used to it, but do notice it from time to time)

Fits perfectly. The included buttons are amazing and feel OEM. I'm definitely impressed with the product. The added vent on the back as well as the thermal paste on the components led to better heat dissipation so expect a slight bump in performance and slight overall drop in heat.

It looks amazing and makes the device 10-20 degrees cooler
