Makes very good cold brew coffee!
I bought one of these when it was a Kickstarter or Indiegogo project (can’t remember).I have to say I love it. It took some trial and error to dial in the correct amounts of water coffee and such but since then it’s a set it and leave it type of device. It’s a shame the filters and such are hard to find because I think this device is a well made product that produces good cold brew.I’d recommend it 👍👍

Makes great coffee when you get it right
The beanplus makes really good strong iced coffee but its finicky to operate. The instructions are pretty simple but I kept getting mixed results from good strong coffee to watered down weak tasting coffee. My first couple of uses it made some excellent strong coffee but after the 3rd or 4th batch it ended up watery.I followed the instructions by placing a filter at the bottom, coffee grinds up to the line (approx 3oz) and another filter on top. Opened the drip valve to about 1drip per second (tried slower as well) but i kept finding that the water would pool up on top and run down the sides bypassing majority of the coffee grinds so you would end up with very watery coffee. I probably wasted 20 or 30 dollars worth of coffee grinds with failed batches. when you dump the grinds out almost all the grinds in the center were dry.I found that if you measure out about 3oz of coffee and put it in a cup or bowl, pour some water and stir it around with a spoon until all the grounds are wet but water isn't pooling up at the bottom of the cup before placing it back into the beanplus (with the standard instructions). use the spoon to level out the grounds but not pack it down it gives you good strong tasting coffee pretty consistently. It usually takes about 1 - 1.5 hours before the coffee starts to dripI usually let the water go slow about 1 drip every 2 - 3 seconds (usually takes about 24 - 30hours to make a full batch) but it comes out strong and very flavorful.I like the taste of the coffee this makes vs the hario mizudashi, with the hario you get a lot of solids at the bottom of carafe when the coffee sits idle for awhile so you'll need to stir it up. you don't get this with the beanplus. The bean plus is fairly well constructed. Glass carafe but the top water reservoir is plastic. The carafe doesn't have a lip on it so if you use it to store and pour the coffee it runs down the side and drips on the counter. Since there are paper filters and water filters you will need to purchase supplies. You can purchase the stainless steel filters but you will still need to buy water filters. All in all this is a good product.
