Great investment! My garage is much more organized.
We recently purchased this ceiling mount bike rack for 4-bikes. My husband had this installed within 20-minutes and said it was an easy product to install. This is a great design and has made a huge difference in clearing up our garage floor space. We now have a much more organized garage. Disclaimer: my husband is a contractor and has his own set of tools. He used the original hardware included with this kit. It holds well and the product is well designed. Although this product is more expensive than other bike racks, we are happy with our investment.

Reclaims floor space
The biggest plus to this system is getting three bicycles off the floor completely. It is a fantastic system. Bikes hang up out of way and my ceiling is high enough I can walk under them. Unless you are able to lift a bike up to hooks, it probably is not for you. I read the concerns about the hanger clips, but they seem to work fine. I would not recommend modifying the design unless you are sure of what you are doing. They are made to withstand 50 lbs bikes. Aluminum bike frames recommended in my opinion, which is all I have.

Great space saving storage idea for bicycles
This bike rack is great I installed it in my garage to get the bikes off the floor and to organize the garage and gain more floor space. It is very sturdy and you can still park a car underneath it.

Excellent idea!
Just finished installing this. So much better than fixed hanging hooks. The bikes push together very nicely. Directions are good but it's worth looking at the video instructions on line. The end caps and screws took way too much time to install. The screw heads can strip easily as the screws are a challenge (time and blisters) to put in. I really don't think they need this kind of tight fit and the screw heads could be larger. Suggest putting the end caps on BEFORE you put the the sliding rails up. That way, you can apply pressure on the floor. Having said this, I ordered the accessory package with 2 additional bikes as I really like this set up. Worth the buy.

Great Product That Could Be Improved With Better Hardware
The concept is excellent and the directions were very informative and straightforward. Read all of them. It states that the screw should go into the wood at least 1". I used the screws provided along with four additional longer screws for each rail. My plaster was thicker so I needed to get longer screws and added washers for more support. The rails are not going anywhere. The other hardware with the "C" clamps is holding fine right now. Make sure you check each of the "C" clamps to ensure they are attached correctly to their post for wheels and hooks. Other people have altered the hardware, threading the hooks to accept bolts or adding binding posts for the wheels. I tried adding washers to these parts to relieve some stress on the "C" clamp but the washer didn't sit flush so it didn't work. They should update the hardware and get rid of the clips. I would gladly pay extra for better hardware. If there is a failure it will be a true product failure and I will update the review. the bikes will be hanging all winter so I will know for sure if there is an issue next spring.

Solution for tandems
I bought two and connected them enabling the length needed for tandems. The weight distribution meets the limit, I used 2 hooks per wheel. There is enough space where you can move one farther forward enabling closer nesting ( about 2 to 3 feet free space to the length), to use 1/4 of the space then before, we store 4 tandems and two regular bikes as we bought the extra add on. The pictures show how I connected the two racks using the end caps. Between the bike and the end caps, they slide easily with now concern. It took a bit engineering and careful installation to line them up, but it works!

tough to install unfriendly to use
It was very difficult to install. I had a friend coming and borrowed a 17 ft a ladder from a nieghbor. I regret purchasing it after I opened up the pacakge which is almost impossible to put them back if I intent to return it. The weight of the package even I put them in will cost me a lot to ship back. After we finally installed it. It will took two adults to put the bikes on to it. It turned out not very user friendly thing and you will not use them very often. So do not buy it.

Make sure your hardware is assembled properly
The rack worked great until it's failure. Once once set of hardware went, a chain reaction took out the rest.
